On many occasions, my father fell seriously sick and was admitted into Intensive Care Units in different hospitals where many life supporting instruments and tubes were connected to his body. But, he always remained calm and made it a point not to go on focusing on his pain and agony but to look at the Lord only for His guidance and revelations! Then, the Lord would appear to him suddenly in that room and tell him, “Son! I want you to do such and such a thing and I will heal you for completing this task” Thereafter, He will give my father all the guidelines to complete the task successfully! My father will also come out of the hospital in good health and start fulfilling the assignment given to him by the Lord!

Yes! My dearly beloved! Do not sit in a corner and go on brooding about your burdens and worries! If you go on caring only for the pleasures and attractions of this world, you will see only your physical weaknesses and worldly insufficiencies! And, you can never ever see the Lord and His glory. But, our loving Lord wants us to soar higher and higher in our lives and see His mighty glory in our lives! He wants us to be the people of the Spirit and not of the flesh!

Then, one of the disciples of the Lord Jesus said, “Lord! Let me first go and bury my father” But, Jesus said to him, “Follow Me and let the dead bury their own dead” (Matthew 8: 21, 22).

Yes! When you have such a spirit in you, then you will be able to receive the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit from Him! Now, the pains of death cannot encompass you! The pangs of hell cannot lay hold of you! You will have the power to give life to dead people! Even from near the deathbed of your beloved ones, you will be able to stand up and preach the word of the Lord boldly and effectively! This will never ever be possible for the worldly people! Only people of the Spirit can do this! My dear friend! Be assured, I am not telling you not to love your earthly father!

Lord Jesus said, “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And, he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me” (Matthew 10: 37).

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Therefore, give first and foremost preference to the Lord our God in your life! Love Him more and more! From now on, leave this world behind you and seek our loving Lord! Walk with Him and talk with Him! And, abide in Him! Then only, you will be able to overcome this world and also win souls for Him through your ministry! This will surely increase the divine strength in you!
