"Who will continue this special ministry of love and compassion?"

It was this question posed by God to Bro. D.G.S.Dhinakaran that led to the starting of the IOPM.

On 26th September 1977, when Bro.D.G.S.Dhinakaran was fasting and praying, the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ filled his room suddenly. He literally saw the Lord Jesus Christ and spoke to him face to face. Jesus then posed a pointed question and asked, "Who will continue this special ministry of love and compassion that I have given you, when I decide to call you to heaven? After much thought and hesitation, Bro. Dhinakaran confessed, "Dear Lord, I have never thought about it".

At that moment, the Lord revealed many 'Master Plans' for the expansion of the Jesus Calls Ministry. He graciously unfolded His entire Master Plan for training those with a great passion for perishing souls and thus emerged the Institute of Evangelism, which was later named as 'Jesus Calls Institute of Power Ministry'. He said, "Gather such people from every part of the world, who have the same zeal to win souls through My love and compassion, and tell them all that I have done for you and through you. Explain to them the "valley of tears" you have gone through and the deep spiritual experiences I have given you. Finally, on the last day of the training, when you lay your hands upon them, I will make every grace that I have given you to pass on into their lives, so that they can also start shining for Me." In obedience to this heavenly vision, the Institute was started and the first one was held on July 24, 1980.
