My dear friend, God gives us a precious promise for this month from Psalm 16:11, “You make known to me the path of life.”  Yes! This is what God is going to do for us. He is going to take full control of our life as we surrender it today to Him; He is going to reveal to us our path of life. The psalmist says, ‘I am so happy and feel rejoiced because you reveal my path of life’ even in another Psalm it says, ‘Your Word is a light to my path.’

Many young people are walking through life blind and dark, unsure of what step to take next. They do not have any assurance that their path is going to be successful, if they will make it and so they are filled with fear but as per the above verse, we are filled with joy because God reveals us our successful path. How beautiful is that!  

‘Ever since I was a little boy, my grandfather and through my father the Lord would speak to me during family prayers and He would always ask me to ‘wait at my feet.’ That is the secret to your path being revealed to you.’

Yes! Every day as we wait at the feet of Jesus, He speaks to us. He strengthens us from the bible and He speaks to our heart and we become attuned to the voice of the Lord. Then we will begin to recognize His voice in our lives, beautifully leading us along His path.’

In two ways God is going to reveal our path,

1. He is going to help us in making the decisions for our career: Many of us hear different voices about our career. We ourselves have our own thoughts and dreams, our parents force us saying ‘do this, study this-only this will work’ and take control of our path. Our mentors give their opinions, pastors may give guidance, and friends may suggest which direction we should take or what decisions we should make. With so many voices speaking into our lives, it can become confusing to know which path to choose.

The Lord says, ‘He will take control of our career’. He is in control and through whomever in our life God’s path will be revealed. Sometimes He will use our parents to guide us, He will bring someone in our life to guide us, or through a prophetic voice and by speaking to us personally. But be assured my friend, God is in control of the decisions for our career. He will make sure that we proceed in the choice of God. Nobody will be able to deter us. That’s the confidence we can have when we wait at His feet.

2. He will bring the Right people into our life: At the right time, we will beautifully see how God begins to place the right people in our lives. Through them, the right counsel will come. God will guard our hearts to receive all those right words. Many times we are disturbed by the wrong friendships, relationships or bad advice. Whatever people think is best in their eyes they counsel us but as we wait for the Lord, His counsel will come through the right people in our life, support will come through the right people and the right life partner will also come.

“I have personally experienced this kind of divine leading. While choosing a college, several options were before me. In that season, a group of young people from a college were praying, and God prophetically revealed to them that I would join their college too. Through that unexpected word, I too received clarity and peace. I followed that direction, and in hindsight, I can clearly see how God opened the door there, blessed my studies and shaped my life through that decision. Had I followed the wrong counsel, the outcome could have been very different. God, in His mercy, protected my path.”

God will also protect you my friend. You will see how beautifully the Lord makes known to you the path of your life. 

This month, God will make your life shine and you will see Him operating in your life beautifully.
