Dear friend, today’s promise comes from Matthew 10:41, “Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward.” God is reminding us that when we honor His servants and receive His word through them, He blesses us with the same reward that He gives to His prophets. A prophet’s reward is nothing less than God’s own provision, protection, and blessing. In the Bible, we see how the poor widow of Zarephath welcomed Elijah in her home. Though she had only a little flour and oil left, she trusted the word of God spoken through Elijah and gave him food first. In return, God honored her faith: the jar of flour and the jug of oil never ran dry. She and her son lived throughout the famine, receiving the prophet’s reward of life and sustenance.

In another instance, King Jehoshaphat told his people, “Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful” (2 Chronicles 20:20). By obeying the prophetic word, the people of Judah were delivered from their enemies. This shows that when we accept and act upon the word of God spoken through His prophets, victory and success follow. Revelation 19:10 tells us, “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Every prophetic word reveals Jesus and opens the way for His power to work in our lives. When prophecy comes, Satan’s schemes are defeated (Revelation 12:10–11; Luke 10:18), obstacles are removed, and blessings are released. Even if the word takes time to be fulfilled, Habakkuk 2:3 assures us that the vision will not delay—it will certainly come to pass.

Dear child of God, today the Lord not only wants you to receive a prophet’s reward but also to move in the grace of prophecy. As 1 Corinthians 14:22 says, God gives His children the gift of tongues and interpretation, leading to prophecy. The Holy Spirit enables you to receive God’s word and to speak His will over your life and others. Through prophecy, what is not present—whether provision, healing, relationship, or breakthrough—will be spoken into existence by the power of God’s word. Receive this blessing today. As you honor the servants of God, support their ministry, and welcome their word, you will inherit the prophet’s reward—protection, provision, prosperity, and peace.

Prayer:
Loving Father, Thank You for the promise of a prophet’s reward. Help me to honor Your servants and receive Your word with faith. Release provision, protection, and prosperity over my life. Anoint me with the prophetic grace of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
