The Lord speaks to you today from John 15:15, “I have called you friends.” What a great privilege! God does not merely call you His servant, but His friend. A friend is someone who knows the heart, secrets, and plans of the other. The Lord promises to reveal His secrets to you (Amos 3:7) and empower you to walk in His will. Just as Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves at all times,” the Lord will love you, bless you, and increase you (Deuteronomy 7:13). Abraham was called a friend of God, and because he walked prophetically with God, the promises he carried still sustain the nation of Israel today. In the same way, when you walk as a friend of God, His promises will be fulfilled through you and generations after you.

God not only calls you His friend but also desires to anoint you prophetically. Acts 2:17 says, “I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy.” The Holy Spirit will reveal to you the future, just as He revealed mysteries to Daniel (Daniel 2:28), and gave Joseph wisdom about the famine in Egypt (Genesis 41:25). In the same way, the Lord can show you what is to come so that you can pray, prepare, and guide others. He reveals His heart not for fear, but to empower His friends to establish His kingdom on earth. When you take up this call as God’s friend, you will not only hear His secrets but also carry His authority to intercede for families, communities, and nations.

Even in our times, God continues to reveal His plans to His friends. The Holy Spirit shows visions, dreams, and prophecies about nations, natural events, and the church’s mission. These revelations are not to exalt us, but to prepare us to stand in prayer and usher in revival. Just as God entrusted Abraham, Daniel, and Joseph with His plans, He now wants to entrust you. He calls you to be His friend who prays, intercedes, and partners with Him to see His kingdom established on earth. When you walk with Him as His friend, you will know His love, hear His voice, and carry His power to bless many.

Prayer:
Loving Father, Thank You for calling me Your friend. Reveal Your secrets and plans to me by Your Spirit. Anoint me with prophetic grace to intercede for people and nations. Help me to walk closely with You in love and obedience. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
