My friend, it is such a joy for me to greet you with the Word of God today. When God speaks, He perfects it in your life. He speaks to you today from Deuteronomy 14:2, which says, "The Lord has chosen you to be His treasured possession." That’s a great thing, isn’t it, my friend? To be chosen by God, to be His treasured possession, so that His eyes are on you. When I was in school and in my middle school years, I loved a game which my PT teachers used to tell me about. We used to play handball. We were separated into different houses of colour, and I wanted our team to win very badly. So, even during recess breaks, we would all gather together, and I would come up with strategies to win. I was so happy when, in one of the tournaments, the coach said, "Sam, you can be the captain of the team. Go and lead our team." I was jumping with joy because, for me at that time, handball was a great thing!
Yes, in the same way, even in your life, it is your time to be chosen; chosen by God Himself, the Almighty God. Above all, to be chosen to be His treasured possession. Today, the people around you might be putting you down, saying, "Go to the back of the line." They may not choose you to be a team leader, or choose you to be the front-runner or the promoter. They might have put you in a forgotten place. But my friend, your life is in the hands of the Almighty God, chosen to be a treasured possession. Never forget that you are a captain in His hands, in the purpose He has for you. Very soon, He will make you flourish. Don’t ignore this "great choosing" by God. Value it, and you will see great things happening in your life soon.
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for speaking life and purpose into me through Your Word. Today, I stand in awe that You have chosen me as Your treasured possession. Though the world may overlook or forget me, I know Your eyes are always on me. Remind me daily that I am in Your hands as a captain in Your divine purpose. Help me to walk in that calling with boldness and faith, trusting that in Your perfect time, You will cause me to flourish. I choose to value Your ‘great choosing’, Lord, and I surrender my life to Your mighty plan. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
