This month God wants to take us to the heights of the land. We see that promise in Isaiah 58:14,

“Then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

How are we going to fly to the heights? You may ask what qualification do I have to get into the heights of the land, with all my shortcomings? With all my lack of wisdom? With not seeking God as I should be, how can I be qualified for this blessing?

Second part of this verse says, ‘you will feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob’ it is not by our qualification, it is not the work that we do, it is not we are a brilliant person, but it is because Jesus has prepared His inheritance for His children. All we have to say is, ‘Jesus you are my father, I will go behind You and do what You expect of me’. To such children He gives His inheritance.

And this verse says, ‘the inheritance of Jacob’. Yes, even our forefathers have sown the seed before us, they have dedicated their lives, made the sacrifices and sown the seeds of ministry.  And the Christian Leaders in our nation also have sown the seeds in their professional career, and we are going to inherit all the blessings of their labor, of their sacrifice, of all their work for the Lord. They have sown, we are going to reap.

One of the servants of God whom my father met many years ago, while praying, he was moved by the Holy Spirit and through him the Holy Spirit spoke to my father. ‘I see that so many years before, somebody was connected with God to form a covenant with God in your family’, God says, He remembers that covenant and He is honoring it with you also. My grandfather Dr.D.G.S. Dhinakaran had asked the Lord, ‘wherever I go You should come with me, when I dedicate myself for the ministry’ and God had remembered that and even till today, He honors that covenant in my father’s life.

Yes, my friend, for us also. All that God has made covenant with our forefathers we are going to inherit the blessings of that covenant. They may have sown with struggles and with tears; we are going to reap with joy. So always remember my friend, it is not that we have to struggle and think, am I going to be blessed? No, our blessings are assured. It comes from that inheritance and it comes from all that our forefathers sown. So let us reap those blessings and enter it with thankfulness to God, thankfulness for our forefathers sowing in ministry.

Let us ask the Lord confidentially because of this, ‘bless me also in my studies, take me to the heights of my career, and help me to be a blessing in Your hands.’ God will increase us to the heights of the land, feasting on the inheritance of Jacob.

Specifically, I want to say that there are Prophetic Gifts and the Grace of God that we can inherit.

When my grandfather  Dr.D.G.S Dhinakaran first heard the message from God’s servant Mr. T.L. Osborn in India, he was talking about the prophets of God who walked with the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit and they were doing mighty and wondrous acts, he was quoting from the Scripture and that gave a thirst within my grandfather's heart as he was sitting in the crowd. He went back and meditated on the Scriptures again and again. And he said Lord, ‘if you have given these prophets Your mighty wondrous gifts and power, where is Your power today, fill me with that power, fill me with that anointing and give me that gifts and grace Lord, and display Your miracle working power through me so that Your people eyes will be opened. Our nation and world need to see this power, Lord, ’ And 7 years he asked that and one day the Holy Spirit powerfully came upon Him, and God started using him mightily with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. as per I Corinthians 12:8-10.

And look at the Scripture in I Timothy 4:14, ‘Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.’

If you remember how God used Elijah mightily with His anointing, as the Lord prepared to take him away to be with Him, after Elijah the gift and anointing was passed on to Elisha in double measure. But not automatically, God gave Elisha that yearning in his soul, ask for the gift and anointing from Elijah, I will give it to you. He chased after Elijah city after city till he received that anointing and it came upon him in double measure and God used Elisha to perform mighty wonders in front of the people and to anoint the kings of the land and to bring God to the people.

Those gifts are being passed on to us also, through the laying of hands from the prophets and gifts that have come through the legacy of the ministry of the prophets. These gifts are passing upon us as young people. Receive that inheritance and receive those gifts. Ask the Lord to use you as signs and wonders among the people to know Him.
