Dear brothers and sisters, Today, let us meditate on 2 Chronicles 1:12. God says, “I will also give you wealth, riches and honor.” When God appeared to Solomon, He asked him, “What do you want Me to give you?” Instead of asking for riches, power, or long life, Solomon asked God for wisdom so that he could lead His people well. Because Solomon sought God's wisdom rather than personal gain, God was pleased with him and blessed him not only with wisdom but also with wealth, riches, and honor, making him greater than any king before or after him. God was greatly pleased with Solomon's selfless request. He replied, "Wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, riches and honor, such as no king before you ever had and none after you will have."
What a wonderful God we serve! Because Solomon sought God's wisdom rather than personal gain, God added every other blessing to his life. This reminds us of the words of Jesus: "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Our God is a generous Father. He never stops with giving us what we ask for. He often adds blessings beyond our expectations. The Bible says, "The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it." God blesses His children without adding sorrow to their lives. Solomon became one of the greatest kings in history because he valued God's wisdom above everything else. As 1 Kings 10:24 says, “The whole world sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.” His wisdom attracted kings, leaders, and people from every nation.
Dear friends, our God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. When we give priority to our spiritual growth and seek God's wisdom first, He will take care of every other need in our lives. True wisdom is found in Jesus Christ. The Bible declares that in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. When we receive Jesus into our hearts, we receive divine wisdom, guidance, and every spiritual blessing. Along with Christ, God graciously provides everything we need for this life and for eternity. Today, the Lord desires to prosper you. He wants to fill your heart with His wisdom and establish you in every area of your life. If you are in a position of leadership, ask Him for godly wisdom. He will guide your decisions, bless your work, and make your life a testimony of His faithfulness.
PRAYER:
Precious Father, I thank You for being a generous and loving God. Fill me with Your heavenly wisdom just as You blessed Solomon. Help me to seek Your kingdom above everything else. Along with Your wisdom, pour out Your favor, honor, and prosperity upon my life. Remove every lack and open the hidden treasures You have prepared for me. Grant me wisdom and understanding in every decision I make. Enlarge my borders, bless all my endeavors, and let Your covenant blessings rest upon my life. May I prosper spiritually and materially, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
