My dear friend, today we are meditating on Daniel 12:3, "Those who lead many to righteousness will be like the stars forever and ever." Many times, we think that leading someone to righteousness means preaching to them or talking to them about God’s word. We believe that directly going to someone and telling them about righteousness is the only way they will come to know it. But my friend, many times the easiest and most effective way for someone to understand righteousness is simply by seeing someone live a righteous life. We have heard the saying, "Actions speak louder than words." Often, people understand righteousness not by what is said, but by what is lived. By seeing someone being a child of God, by the way you lead your life with integrity, by the way you care for someone, and by the way you follow God's commands in your daily life. This, my friend, is how you show that you are truly living a righteous life. When you stand firm for the truth, even during hard times, people will see righteousness through you. And through that, you will be able to lead them to the Word of God.
There was a missionary who did the very same thing. Her name was Amy Carmichael, an Irish missionary who spent over 55 years in India. Her mission was to rescue and care for young girls who were under slavery; girls who were forced to do things that stripped away their dignity. Amy Carmichael's mission was to rescue these young girls. Though her work was dangerous, and if she were caught, she would have faced serious trouble with the local authorities, she did not waver. She stood firm, nurtured these young girls, gave them a safe place, told them about Jesus, and raised them up by educating them, loving them, and empowering them with the truth that they are precious in God's eyes. Many of these girls grew up with confidence and faith, knowing that they are loved by God. Even today, the Safe Home continues to run in the name of Dona Ur Fellowship. They are still rescuing hundreds of children, giving them a safe place, and empowering them with the love of Jesus.
My friend, your life and the actions you do can lead many to righteousness. And you will shine forever and ever like the stars. We see how Amy’s mission is still continuing today. In the same way, God will make you shine forever and ever as you lead others to righteousness. And all of them will shine along with you, spreading the love of Jesus all around. What a beautiful thing. Today, will you commit your life also to this mission?
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank You for calling me to be a light in this world. Thank You for Your promise that those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever. Even now, Lord, please help me to live a life that reflects Your love, truth, and righteousness. Let my actions speak louder than my words. Help me to stand firm in truth even in difficult moments. Let my life be a testimony of Your holiness. Use me to care for others, to love sincerely, and to walk with integrity, and let others see You in me, and let them be drawn to Your word through my life. Father, I commit myself today to this divine mission. Let my life be like a shining star, leading others to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
