My friends, today, let us meditate on the words of our Lord Jesus: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3). Lord Jesus says that if you want the kingdom of heaven to be yours, if you want it to belong to you, and if you want heavenly blessings to pour upon you, then you must be poor in spirit. It is the same for me. It is the same for you. When we are poor in spirit, what blessing do we receive? When we humbly commit ourselves to fulfil the Lord’s will, what blessings do we receive?

Firstly, grace comes to the humble. James 4:6 says, “The Lord gives grace to the humble. He opposes the proud.” To the humble, to those who are poor in spirit, He gives grace. By this grace, we are protected from being destroyed. The devil may rise, wicked people may rise, traitors may rise, losses may rise, diseases may rise, and betrayal may rise. But in the midst of all those things, the Lord’s grace will also abound and rise. Grace will make us multiply and will bless us. May the Lord give you this blessing today.

Secondly, prosperity comes to the nation and our families. When we pray and ask the Lord to forgive our sins, the Lord commands prosperity for the nation. He fills the nation with health. He saves the nation. He removes the powers that bring obstacles to fulfilling Jesus’ will for the nation. He gives prosperity. Yes, when we, who are called by His name, humble ourselves and pray and seek the Lord’s face, prosperity comes to the nation. We read this in 2 Chronicles 7:14. Let us commit ourselves to that. When the Lord commands prosperity in the nation, He will give it to our families also, and He will bring blessing.

Thirdly, the Lord exalts those who humble themselves. When we humble ourselves and commit ourselves to fulfilling the Lord’s will, the Lord exalts us. He makes us rise to high positions. We read this in Luke 14:11: “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled.” He who humbles himself before the Lord and before people and serves so that they may somehow receive a blessing—everyone who forgives and everyone who gives—will be exalted. Children will rise to high positions. They will be strong on the earth. May the Lord give you this blessing.

Fourthly, those who humble themselves receive wisdom. Proverbs 11:2 says, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.” The proud may have arrogance, but they will not have wisdom. The moment their work succeeds, pride goes to their heads. One day, they will lose everything. They will say that what they do is right. They will mock people who live with a humble heart, fearing the Lord and living holily. They will mock them. But everyone who stays humble at the Lord’s feet, fulfilling His will and acting amidst sufferings, will receive wisdom. With that wisdom, like Solomon, they will gain everyone’s respect, build their homes, establish His kingdom for the Lord, and inherit the kingdom of heaven. May the Lord give this wisdom to you and your children—the wisdom of the Lord, wisdom that comes from the Lord. May this descend upon you now.

Fifthly, the Lord gives wealth, honour and life to those who are humble. Proverbs 22:4 says, “The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches, honour and life.” May the Lord grant you this grace. May humility bring you riches, in the name of Jesus. May it bring you strength, in the name of Jesus. 

Next, victory comes to those who are humble. You will surely have victory. Failures and losses might be coming now. Psalm 149:4 says, “He crowns the humble with salvation.” He crowns them with victory. The Lord will save you, protect you and save your family.

Furthermore, grace and strength come to those who are humble. 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 says, “My strength is made perfect in your weakness.” Do not be troubled.

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, give me a humble heart to seek You and fulfil Your will. Let Your grace protect me and my family, and bring prosperity, wisdom, wealth, honour and life. Exalt my children and make them strong on the earth. Grant us victory and salvation, and deliver us from sinful habits and every burden. Perfect Your strength in our weaknesses and bring healing to every pain, disease, dizziness, worry and sleeplessness. Let every darkness depart and every organ function normally. Fill us with Your oil of joy and establish Your kingdom through our lives. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
