My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. As you may be aware, this was the saddest day of my life, when I lost my only precious daughter, Angel. But even in the midst of this terrible loss, according to today’s promise that we are about to meditate on, God has blessed me abundantly. What is the promise given to us today? It is from Matthew 6:33, which says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Yes, my friend, all the blessings of God will be added to you if you seek Him.
Don’t go on crying and crying, saying, “Oh, I lost my husband... I lost my daughter.” In the midst of all my agony and loss, I have learned to look to Jesus. My family and I have fixed our eyes upon Jesus and Jesus alone, and God has blessed us abundantly. He has given us so many children. And if you read I John 2:16, it says, “In this world there is lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.” And Psalm 143:3 reminds us that “through these things, the devil makes us dwell in darkness.”
Yes, the devil is roaring, seeking whom he can devour. But the blood of Jesus can cleanse you and bring you out of all the lust of the flesh. If you don’t have peace or joy, come to Jesus. Come to the cross of Jesus. There, you will find peace, joy, and all of God’s abundant blessings. In Luke 10:42, we read about Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus. She clung to God, seeking His presence. Because of that, she chose the good part. So many people in the Bible came to Jesus filled with darkness. But the presence of God and the Word of God drew them near. And from all the darkness, they stepped into the light of the world. Even now, you can come out of all your darkness. God will give you peace, joy, and all His abundant blessings.
PRAYER:
Precious Heavenly Father, I come before You with my heart open, seeking Your Kingdom and righteousness first. Lord, in a world filled with sorrow, temptation, and darkness, I look to You as my only source of peace, joy, and abundant blessing. Cleanse me, Lord, by the precious blood of Jesus. Deliver me from the lust of the flesh, the pride of life, and every scheme of the enemy that seeks to pull me away from Your light. Help me to choose the good part, Your presence, above all else, like Mary. Enable me to cling to Your Word and walk in Your truth, even when my path is painful or unclear. Let Your joy be my strength. Let Your peace guard my heart. And let Your love lead me daily into a deeper relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
