My precious friend, today is the day of salvation. That is what the Scripture says, and salvation is indeed the greatest gift. Today’s promise is from Isaiah 12:2, which declares, “Surely God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid.” Salvation means being saved from disaster and destruction, but the greatest destruction comes because of sin. The wages of sin is death. Sin kills the soul, the spirit, and even relationships. Most tragically, it severs our connection with the life-giving Jesus. Death is terrible, and sin is terrible, but thank God, Jesus is waiting to save us. In Luke 15, we read about the son who strayed from his father, wasted his wealth in sin, and became an orphan living among pigs. When he realised even his father’s servants were blessed, he returned with a repentant heart. Though he was lean, filthy, ashamed, barefoot, and broken, his father ran to embrace him, kissed him, and said, “My son was dead, but now he has come back alive.” The son asked forgiveness and confessed his sin, and that is what it means to truly come alive.

When we repent of our sins and cry to God, saying, “Father, I have sinned, forgive me, and take me back as Your child,” our heavenly Father receives us with love and restores everything. Heaven rejoices and angels rejoice when a sinner returns home. God is your salvation, so trust Him and do not be afraid. He does not wait to condemn but to forgive. Repent, turn away from wickedness, and come to Jesus. Ask Him to help you, and He will save you, change you, transform you, and adorn you with blessings once again. He will not throw you aside as a servant but will embrace you as His beloved child.

To show the greatness of this salvation, let me share the testimony of Harsh Moses Madankar from Pune. He was raised in the fear of God, active in the Sunday school choir, and even involved in village ministry as a young man. But during his teenage years, Harsh drifted away. He stopped praying, neglected church, and fell into alcohol, drugs, and smoking. His rebellion brought strife at home as he fought with his parents. His mother fasted and prayed earnestly for his soul. Even though he spent time in a rehabilitation centre, nothing changed, and he sank deeper into sin, chasing worldly pleasures. In 2023 tragedy struck. While bursting crackers with friends, a firecracker exploded on his face. He was severely burnt and blinded, bleeding heavily and left unconscious in the hospital. After four days, the doctors announced that his left eye would have to be removed. His devastated mother immediately sought prayer support, sending me an email through Harsh’s sister. I responded in prayer, and intercessors also began to pray for him. A promise from the Lord was sent to him, “I am the Lord who heals you.” Those words pierced his heart. From his ICU bed, Harsh cried out to God in repentance, “Forgive me, Lord. I repent. Heal me.” God heard his desperate prayer, and from that moment, things began to improve. Doctors were amazed at his recovery. With tears, Harsh told his mother, “Even if I lose my eyesight, I will not leave Jesus.” His grandmother quickly enrolled him in the Young Partners Plan of Jesus Calls, and God worked a miracle. His left eye was saved, and his eyesight was restored completely. Within just 40 days, Harsh was totally healed. The greatest miracle, however, was not only the restoration of his vision but also the transformation of his life. Though his old friends abandoned him, Jesus became his best friend. In 2024, he married Ruth, a God-fearing woman, and together they now follow the Lord Jesus and serve Him faithfully. What a wonderful Saviour we have in Jesus, who not only heals the body but also saves the soul. My friend, you too can give your life to Him today, and He will make all things new for you.

PRAYER:
Loving Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Even now, I confess my sins before You and ask for Your forgiveness. Just as the prodigal son was embraced by his father, I long to be embraced by You today. Wash me, restore me, and fill me with Your love. Help me to turn away from sin and walk in the joy of Your salvation. Thank You for receiving me not as a servant, but as Your beloved child. I put my complete trust in You, and I will not fear. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
