My precious friend, the Lord promises in Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” This month, God is going to remove your burdens and give you rest as you come to Jesus. The Lord told me that this is a year of rest for His servants. The battles and obstructions you’ve faced, God will remove them, giving you rest to do His will. In verses 29 and 30, Jesus continues: “Take My yoke upon you... My burden is light.” When we carry His burden, not ours, we find rest.

Every day, we pray, “Lord, take care of my children, spouse, job, ministry...” We’re constantly carrying our burdens. But the Lord gently says, “Carry My burden.” What is that burden? It is the redemption of souls from sin. As I Timothy 2:4 says, His desire is for everyone to be saved. That is His burden. John 9:4-5 reminds us: “As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent Me.” Night is coming. Darkness is covering the earth. But Isaiah 60:1-2 says, “Arise, shine, for your light has come… though deep darkness covers the earth, My glory rises upon you.” While it is still day, carry Jesus, the light of the world, to others. Jesus says, “Now you carry Me.” This is the cry of Jesus: “Support My ministry. Bring My light to the people.” Will you say, “Yes, Lord, I will carry You to others”? When you do, everything in your life will become restful.

In Luke 22:42-44, we see Jesus in Gethsemane, sweating blood, carrying the burden of salvation. Satan stood by, hoping He’d give up. But the Holy Spirit came, showing Him the future— His resurrection, victory, and glory. And Jesus declared, “Let Thy will be done.” Satan fell on his face and cried, “I am finished.” Jesus was victorious and went boldly to the cross. Today, through His sacrifice, the path is open for all to be saved. God gave Jesus rest by raising Him from the dead, and He will raise you up too, as you surrender to His call. Jesus also carried the burdens of the people. Matthew 9:35-36 says He was moved with compassion for the crowds, healing them, casting out demons, and uniting families. God wants you to carry that same burden and bring miracles to people.

Moses felt overwhelmed by the burden of leading God’s people. He cried, “Kill me, Lord, the burden is too heavy” (Numbers 11:12-15). Ministry is carrying the tears of others. When Jesus called my father, He said, “You will cry as if their problems are your own. When you cry, I will come, see your tears, and wipe away theirs.” And indeed, my father suffered deeply, but God used his tears to bring healing to millions. In Numbers 11:16-25, God provided Moses with seventy anointed helpers. And today, Acts 2:17 promises, “In the last days, I will pour out My Spirit… your sons and daughters will prophesy.” God will fill you with His Spirit to carry His burden and work miracles. Would you join in this mission? Become an intercessor or ambassador in Jesus Calls. Like Job, who prayed for his friends and received double blessings, as you, too, carry Jesus’ burden, He will remove yours.

PRAYER:
Dear Father, thank You for Your loving invitation to come to You when I am weary and burdened. I come before You today, laying down every heavy load I have carried. Teach me, Lord, to take up Your yoke, which is the burden of love, compassion, and salvation for others. Fill me with Your grace and courage to do Your will, not my own. Holy Spirit, let my heart be moved by compassion, just like Jesus, to comfort and minister to the lost, the broken, and the weary. May I never grow tired of doing good. As I commit to lift the burdens of others, help me to find the deep rest You have promised. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
