My precious children of God, I greet each one of you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Today, we are going to meditate on Psalm 23:6. David says, “I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” From his young age, David sought the Lord diligently. As we all know very well, Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd.” Yes, my friends, you should also be able to say the same thing. Do you have the experience of having the Lord as your Shepherd? The Lord blessed David abundantly because of that.
Isaiah 60:22 says, “A little one shall become a thousand and a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.” According to this verse, David was just a shepherd boy, but he believed in God as his heavenly Father. He said, “I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Because of this, Isaiah 60:22 says, “A little one shall become a thousand.” Even though David was just a shepherd boy, what happened to him in his life? If you read 1 Chronicles 29:28, we read, “David died in good old days, full of days and riches and honor.” God blessed his life. His days in this world were increased. What was the reason? According to Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd.” That was his hope.
Young people, do you believe that Jesus is your only Savior? If you also believe in Jesus and accept Him as your God and Savior from your young age, your whole life will be blessed abundantly, just as David experienced. Right now, let us commit our lives to Jesus Christ and receive all these blessings in our own lives.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the life of David and for being our Good Shepherd. Help us to seek You diligently from our young age and trust You as our heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, help us to accept You as our only Savior and remain in Your presence throughout our lives. Save us from all iniquities and unwanted things, and lead us in Your ways. Fill our lives with peace, joy, riches, honor, and abundant blessings. Let our lives increase and become a blessing to many. Bring us closer to You every day and multiply Your blessings in our lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen.
