My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today we are going to meditate on Genesis 15:1, which says, “After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.’” Also, if you read II Samuel 22:3, David also says the same thing: “God is my shield and the horn of my salvation.” My friend, do you have this experience? If you have this experience, you will be a blessed person like Abraham and David. How do you receive this blessing?
If you read II Samuel 22:31 and Psalm 18:30, it says that God is a shield to all who trust in Him. Therefore, put your complete trust in God. Cling to Him tightly. Tell Him, “Lord, You are my everything. I don’t believe in anything else. You are my shield.” If you thus put your trust in the Lord, He will become your shield. And Proverbs 2:7 also says that God is a shield to those who walk uprightly. My friend, check up your life today. Are you leading a righteous life? If yes, God will surely bless you. Always strive to walk righteously before your righteous God, and then the Lord will be with you and He will reward you and deliver you from all your troubles. Another thing we read in Proverbs 30:5 is that God is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. The Word of God says, “If you believe, you shall see the glory of God.”
My friend, do you believe that God can do everything for you? Have you put your trust in Him completely? Then He will be your shield too. And if you read Ephesians 6:16, it says, “The shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” Yes, even if the wicked ones try to bring a lot of darkness into your life, when you have the shield of faith, the Lord will miraculously deliver you. Right now, the Lord will do a miracle in your life. Let Him become your shield. You will be delivered from all your problems.
PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I thank You for being my shield and my exceedingly great reward, just as You were for Abraham and David. I come before You with a heart full of trust, confessing that You are my everything. I place my complete confidence in You alone. You are my refuge in times of trouble and the One who guards me from the fiery darts of the enemy. Please help me to walk uprightly before You, Lord. Let my faith be strong, and my heart be pure. Today, I choose to believe. I choose to trust. And I declare that You are my shield now and forever. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen.
