My dear friend, today I am so happy to greet you. We are meditating on the promise verse found in Song of Solomon 2:4: “Let Him lead me to the banquet hall, and let His banner over me be love.” Yes, my dear friend, the Lord loves you, and He wants to honour you. That is what He did to David. David was just a shepherd boy working in the fields, often forgotten by his brothers. Even when someone asked for him, his father had hidden him away. That is how overlooked and unnoticeable he was. But God saw him, chose him, and made him a king. God called him a man after His own heart, and as we see in Psalm 18:19, He brought him into a spacious place because He delighted in him. God’s love does not just lift you up, but it celebrates you and honours you. That is the banner of love.

Yes, my dear friend, the verse says, “He led me to the banquet hall.” A banquet hall is where all the important guests gather and have a meal with the king. In the same way, God invites you, leads you to His banquet hall, and honours you with His banner of love, saying, “This is My beloved son. This is My beloved daughter.” Just as He called David a man after God’s own heart, God will call you in the same manner. Today, you may be overlooked by your peers. Your manager may not even remember your name. People may say you are the last in the family, that nobody cares about you, that you have no position, no power, no background, and no qualifications. You may feel hidden away from the world, just like David was hidden away.

But when God calls you and chooses you as His own child, He places a banner of love over you. He does not just save you because of this love, but He lifts you up, honours you, and celebrates you by inviting you into the most important places and placing you in great heights. Just like the verse says, “He led me to the banquet hall,” God will place you in high places and show the world that you are His beloved child. That will be His banner of love upon you. Today, be of good cheer, my dear friend. You are not forgotten. God sees you, and He will surely lift you up.

PRAYER: 
Dear Lord, thank You for placing Your banner of love over my life. Lift me up according to Your perfect plan and lead me into the places You have prepared for me. Let Your love give me confidence, peace, and strength each day. Let my life always reflect Your goodness and bring glory to Your name. Help me to walk humbly as Your beloved child. Thank You for honouring me with Your presence and unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
