My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today, we are going to meditate on Job 5:11. It says, “God sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn are lifted to safety”. If you read James 4:10, it says, “The Lord shall lift up those who humble themselves in the sight of the Lord”. Humility is one of the characteristics of Jesus Christ. Zechariah 9:9 says, “Rejoice, your King is coming to you; He is just, having salvation, and lowly”. Jesus Himself lived a life of humility.

If you read Luke 14:11 and Luke 18:14, it says, “He who humbles himself will be exalted”. Proverbs 15:33 and Proverbs 18:12 also say that before honour is humility. So my friend, let us check up our lives. Are we having this divine quality called humility? If we humble ourselves, the Lord Himself will honour us and lift us up in His perfect time.

The second part of this verse says that those who mourn are lifted to safety. Yes, the Word of God says in John 16:20, Your sorrow will be turned into joy. In this world, we have to go through many trials and temptations, but when we put all our belief and trust in the Lord, the Lord will do great miracles. If you read I Peter 1:6 and 7, it says that though for a little while you have been grieved by various trials, your faith, tested by fire, will be found to result in praise, honour, and glory”. My beloved one, you may be in grief today for various reasons, but look to God and cling to Him tightly. You will surely receive all blessings from Him.

PRAYER:
Loving Lord, I humble myself before You today. Please teach me to walk in humility and to trust in Your ways. You are aware of my sorrows and my silent tears. Lord, I trust that You will turn my grief into joy according to Your promise. I pray that You will strengthen my faith through every trial and lift me up in Your perfect time. I cling to You alone, my God. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray, Amen.
