Dear brothers and sisters, today we have a beautiful promise verse. In James 1:17, the Bible says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” When God promises something, He will surely do it. Our Lord is not a human being that He should lie. As Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie.” He does not change His mind. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. When God promises to do something, He will surely do it. Even though we fail Him, He remains faithful.

He is a perfect God. Matthew 5:48 says that He is perfect. As He is perfect, He gives us perfect gifts. Even before the foundation of the world, He planned good things for His children. He does not change His plans. David declares that God has planned wonderful things for him. Likewise, the Lord has prepared wonderful blessings for your life. Psalm 31:19 says, “How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You.” His goodness is beyond what eyes can see, ears can hear, or minds can imagine. His goodness is so great for those who trust Him and love Him. We are human beings and often turn away from God. Yet our Heavenly Father remains generous and loving. In Matthew 7:11, Jesus said, “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!”

Think about how parents desire to bless their children. From the day a child is born, parents plan for their future and save their hard-earned money to provide good things for them. If earthly parents do this, how much more does our Heavenly Father desire to give His children perfect gifts?

My daughter, Stella Ramola, when she was young, would call me “Mummy Maa” whenever she wanted something. The moment she called me, my heart would melt. I would run to her, hug her, and ask, “What do you want, my child?” Likewise, when your children call you “Mummy” or “Daddy,” your heart is moved to bless them. This is also the heart of our Heavenly Father. Go to God just as you are. Do not pretend before Him. Do not put on a show. Come to Him with confidence, believing that He gives only good things. God is good all the time. Whether in good times or difficult times, approach Him boldly. Romans 10:12 says that He richly blesses all who call upon Him.

There was a servant of God lovingly known as “Glory Man.” One day, his son became seriously ill. His wife asked him to buy medicine for the child. As he went on his way, he met a poor child in great need. His heart was moved with compassion, and he gave all the money he had to the poor child. As he returned home, he was deeply concerned about his sick son. On the way, he knelt by the roadside and simply prayed, “Father, Father.” He could not say anything more. When he arrived home, his wife joyfully told him, “Our son is healed!” The Lord had answered his simple cry of faith and had performed a miracle.

My dear friends, our God supplies all our needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. He is a giver of good and perfect gifts. Even today, ask Him and believe that He will bless you. The perfect gift you have been waiting for is on its way. Trust Him, thank Him, and receive His goodness

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are the giver of every good and perfect gift. Today, I bring all my needs before You with confidence. Lord, fulfill the desires of my heart according to Your perfect will. Open the doors that no one can shut and release Your blessings upon my life. Let those who are waiting for healing, marriage, children, employment, promotion, restoration, or breakthrough receive Your favor. Help me to trust in Your faithfulness and goodness. Shower Your abundant grace upon me and my family. Let Your perfect gifts manifest in our lives and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
