My friend, God is here to lead us step by step through every situation in our lives. Don’t worry, He has already planned out everything. Today, His promise for us comes from Psalm 118:15, “Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous.” This is how the tents of the righteous are meant to be! Yet many times, even today, families gather only to talk about the problems they face: “My child is not getting married,” “Our debts are rising,” “We are struggling with sickness,” or “Addiction has entered our home.” You might be filled with fear, fighting over every issue, and your whole home may seem dark. But my friend, God is here to change that.
Let’s claim this verse together and bring the shouts of joy and victory back into our homes! When Abijah, the king of Judah, faced Jeroboam, the king of Israel, he had only 400,000 soldiers against Jeroboam’s 800,000. But Jeroboam had forsaken the Lord, while Abijah declared, “Only the Lord can give us victory.” He placed the priests of the Lord in front to blow the trumpets, and as the battle began, his army cried out to the Lord. More than tactics, more than strategy, more than bravery, they trusted in God’s power. Even when Jeroboam’s army surrounded them from behind, when defeat seemed certain, they lifted their voices and shouted to the Lord, and He gave them victory. The few triumphed over the many because the Lord fought for them.
The tents of the righteous are always filled with the sound of joy and victory, even when surrounded by trouble. I remember visiting our Karunya Christian School hostel. Every floor was alive with students singing praises, guitars in hand, voices lifted high to the Lord. The whole hostel echoed with songs of joy and victory! Let it be the same in your home, my friend. No worry, no fear, no defeat, only the sound of praise, faith, and victory. Today, let’s invite the Lord’s presence into our homes and let His victory resound in every corner of our lives.
PRAYER:
Loving Jesus, thank You for being present in every moment of my life. I fully trust that You have already planned my steps and prepared my victory. Lord, fill my home with Your peace, joy, and presence. Let every voice of fear and worry be silenced by shouts of praise. Replace my weakness with Your strength, my tears with Your triumph. Let my home resound with songs of thanksgiving and faith in You. Please teach me to depend not on my own power, but on Your mighty hand. Today, Lord, make my home a place where joy and victory never cease. In Your precious name, Amen.
