My friends, today is Engineer’s Day, and we celebrate and pray for all the engineers who are creating so many special things for us every day. May God use you, if you are an engineer, in a mighty way also. Today, according to 1 Thessalonians 3:13, the Bible says, “May He strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God.” You may ask, “How can I be called a blameless and holy person before our God? How can God see my life and call me holy and blameless? How can it be possible?”
The Bible says that God found Noah to be a righteous man. God found Job to be a man of integrity, blameless before the Lord. If they received such a name, we can also, my friends, by the grace of God. But how can we be holy and blameless when, in our work, each of us has a boss? We do things to please our boss so that he sees us doing the right things and is happy with us. We come to work on time, follow all the rules, and make sure that the work we do is successful. When we take it to our boss, he is happy with the work we have done. Seeing him happy about us makes us feel so fulfilled. We think, “Oh, the boss has said a good word about me. He has said, ‘Well done.’” That gives us great joy.
It is the same when we are working for our Lord Jesus. I need to make sure that the Lord says, “Well done” to me. That fear of God is so important. I know it is very hard when we are doing it for God because, much more than our boss, His expectations are so high. He wants us to do great things. He wants our life to be perfect. But my friends, that fear of God—that I should please Him, that I should do the right thing before Him by shunning away all evil and fulfilling His will—is very important. When you have that fear of God to be holy and blameless, God will perfect His strength in every area of your life. God will perfect His anointing in your weaknesses, and He will start operating through you. The only thing that He sees is our heart.
Do you desire to live a righteous life and accomplish the purposes God has planned for you? When your heart is willing to obey Him, He will equip you with everything you need. His grace will enable you to overcome your limitations, and He will work through your life to accomplish His will. As you depend on Him, He will guide your steps and help your life become a testimony of His righteousness. As this verse says, “May He strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy before Him.”
Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, let Your grace come upon me to live a holy and blameless life before You. Give me the fear of God to please You, do great things for You, and fulfill Your will. Give me an ambitious heart to accomplish the purposes You have for my life. Strengthen my heart and perfect Your strength in my weaknesses. Work through me and give me the ability to do righteous acts. Help me to shun every evil and live with integrity before You. Make me holy and blameless, and let my life bring glory to Your name. Thank You for Your grace that strengthens me to do all things through Christ. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
