My precious children of God, I greet each one of you in the mighty and loving name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, the promise given to us is from John 14:23. Let me read it from my Bible: “Jesus answered and said, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”

What a blessed Christian life it is! Number one, you have to keep God’s Word. That means you have to read the Word of God as much as you can. If you do that, God the Father will love you. Jesus says, “We”—that is, the Father and the Son—will come to the person who walks like that, who reads the Word of God, and make their home with him. Father God and the Son of God will come and stay with you, my friends. What a wonderful blessing this is!

That means we have to read the Word of God daily, as much as we can. You also have to pray and pour out your heart’s desires and needs in the presence of God. If you want to become a true Christian, you have to do these things every day in your life at a particular time. Get up early in the morning. So many youngsters are sleeping until 10 o’clock or 11 o’clock every day. Do as Jesus did. Mark 1:35 says that Jesus rose early in the morning and spent time with His Father.

In the same way, we read about Mary, the sister of Martha, and how she had a close walk with the Lord. The Lord Jesus Himself says in Luke 10:42, “One thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:39 says that Mary also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. Hear the Word of God and wait at His feet.

These are the two things that will bring blessings into your life: reading the Word of God and spending time in prayer at the feet of Jesus. Now, let us surrender our lives and look unto the Lord. Ask Him to give us these two blessings in our lives.

Prayer:
Our precious Heavenly Father, all those who are crying out to have a close walk with You, O Father, supply their needs right now. Give them grace to read Your Word as much as they can every day. Help them to meditate on Your Word and live according to it. Also, let them cling to You in prayer like Mary, sitting at the feet of Jesus and hearing Your voice. Bless all those who desire this kind of spiritual life, Lord. Let them have close communion with You and experience Your presence every day. May their lives be rooted in Your Word and strengthened through prayer. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
