Dear brothers and sisters, today we have a beautiful promise from 2 Timothy 4:22: “The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you all.” Here, Apostle Paul blesses Timothy and the people of his church. In those days, it was customary to bless people by saying, “May God be with you.” But Paul’s blessing goes deeper. He desires that the Spirit of God be with Timothy and that God’s grace be with everyone.

Paul knew that he could not accomplish everything by his own strength. He understood that Timothy could not carry out the ministry without God’s help. Therefore, he wanted the Spirit of God to strengthen Timothy and empower him for the ministry. Paul himself declared, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Jesus also said, “Without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). We must abide in Jesus at all times and remain united with the Spirit of God. The Lord desires to strengthen us through His Spirit and help us fulfil His purpose. He wants to bless His children with His presence and grace. This is the heart of a true father. When Jacob grew old, he desired to bless all his twelve sons. In Genesis 49:1, Jacob called his sons together and told them what would happen to them in the days to come. He prophesied concerning each of them and spoke about their future. He blessed them and expressed his love for them.

Our father, Brother Dhinakaran, also did the same. Towards the end of his life, knowing that his days were drawing to a close, he wanted every member of his family to be blessed. Even though he was weak, he placed his hands on each of our heads and blessed us wholeheartedly. What a beautiful expression of a father’s love! This is also the heart of our Heavenly Father. He desires to bless us, strengthen us, and fill us with His Spirit. My dear friend, may the Spirit of God be with your spirit, and may His grace be with you always. May He strengthen you in your weakness, guide you in every decision, and empower you to fulfil His purpose for your life.

PRAYER:
Loving Heavenly Father, what a privilege it is to have Your Holy Spirit dwelling within us! Lord, fill everyone who cries out to You with Your Spirit. Let Your divine power come upon them and strengthen them to accomplish Your purposes. May Your grace abound in their lives, enabling them to do every good work. Bless the words of their mouths and the meditations of their hearts. Empower them to pray for the sick, bless others, and grow in every area of life. Not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit, let everything be accomplished. Remove discouragement, strengthen their hands, and make them courageous witnesses for You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
