My precious friend, Isaiah 50:4 says, “The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue to know the word that sustains the weary.” Another translation says, “God has given me a wise man's tongue.” Yes, God has a word to lift up the weary and those suffering, but He needs an instrument. That instrument is you and me. To speak that word, He gives us a well-instructed tongue, a wise tongue that speaks God’s language, which brings His word to weary hearts. That’s why Jesus told His disciples in Mark 16:17, “You will speak in new tongues as you believe in Me.” Every believer in Jesus is made to speak a new tongue. Why? Because we often pray in the “old tongue,” repeating our problems again and again, saying, “Lord, look at my suffering,” “I'm always in pain,” “I'm oppressed,” “Why is she blessed and I'm not?” These prayers bring no answers because we speak only of our problems. But God wants us to speak His plan, not our pain. His plan is always good. That’s why He gives us a well-instructed tongue, a tongue guided by the Holy Spirit.
God fills us with the Holy Spirit so that we can speak in new tongues and speak words from Heaven. In Isaiah 28:11-12, the Bible says the Lord speaks through “stammering lips and another tongue.” When you speak God’s language, you receive rest, and the weary are sustained. That’s how, by His grace, I am able to call out names in public meetings and on television. When I pray, the Lord opens my spiritual eyes to see His answers for the people standing before me. His compassion fills my heart, and I cry out, “Lord, these people trust my prayers. What should I do?” The Holy Spirit rises within me and speaks, “Tell them I’m doing this miracle.” At times, He also says, “Ask them to repent from this sin, and I will deliver them.” Many only say, “Repent and you’ll be blessed,” but they forget to also proclaim the blessings God has for His children. Without hope, the people walk away condemned. But our God is the One who sustains the weary, who calls to repentance and also pours out blessing. That’s why the servant of God must speak the tongues of God, both truth and hope.
Today, cry out for this gift. You can be a blessing to others. Ask God for the grace to speak in new tongues. Then you will know His plan for your life, and you will bring His words and His miracles to the weary. When you speak the Word of God, people will see Jesus in you, love you, and cling to you. May God give you this well-instructed tongue! Here’s a wonderful testimony. Mrs. Manorama had two children. Her daughter Rachna had suffered from liver problems since she was six months old. She missed school, couldn’t eat or sleep, and needed frequent blood transfusions. The family was full of fear. After eighteen years of pain, they attended a Jesus Calls meeting in Bilaspur. In that massive gathering, the Holy Spirit gave me her name, “Rachna, you have liver problems, and Jesus heals you.” The power of God came upon her, and she was totally healed. Today, she’s healthy, doing well in her studies, and preparing for a government job. All they needed was a word from God. And now they are ardent Family Blessing Plan partners, and their children are Young Partners. You can be that voice. You can bring that word from heaven. Will you surrender to God today?
PRAYER:
Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me a well-instructed tongue that is filled with Your wisdom, compassion, and Your Spirit. Lord, I no longer want to speak about my pain, but Your purpose alone. Please teach me to speak words that sustain the weary, bring hope to the hurting, and that reflects Your heart. Fill me with the precious Holy Spirit and help me to speak new tongues, not of complaint, but of Your divine plan. Open my spiritual eyes to see the needs of others and my ears to hear Your voice clearly. Let Your compassion flow through me. Make me an instrument to bring life, healing, and direction to those in need. Let people see Jesus in me, hear Your truth from me, and be drawn to Your love. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
