My precious child of God, I greet you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today our promise verse is taken from the book of Leviticus 26:6: “I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts and the sword will not go through your land.” When can we receive such a blessing in our lives? You have to read verse 3: “If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments and perform them, then I will give you all these blessings.” Are you walking in the ways of the Lord? Such a close walk with the Lord is very, very necessary to receive this blessing.
David says in Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” My friend, in the same way, you should have the Lord as your Father, as your Shepherd. “The Lord will lead me and guide me” — that should be your hope. See, this little David was standing before the giant Goliath. Goliath was fully armed from top to bottom, but poor David had nothing except what a shepherd boy would have. Yet his hope was in the Lord God Almighty. Yes, we have to look unto the Lord all the time. We have to cling on to Him, speak to Him, and wait in His presence. Such a holy life you should have; always clinging on to God. Then the Lord will be pleased with you.
Little David was able to kill Goliath because the Lord was with him. Psalm 34:10 says, “Those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” And Psalm 121:1 and 2 say, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where comes my help? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.” My friend, where are you looking today? Do you have hope in Jesus? Do you have all your hope in Him? Now let us cry in His presence, “Lord help me, Father. Without You, I cannot do anything. You are my only hope.”
PRAYER:
Lord, help me to walk in Your statutes and keep Your commandments. Be my Shepherd and lead me every day. Teach me to cling to You tightly and wait in Your presence every day. When giants rise before me, let my hope remain in You. Let my eyes always be fixed on You, from whom my help comes. Without You, I can do nothing. Grant me Your peace and remove all fear from my life. You are my only hope, Lord. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray, Amen.
