My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today, the promise given to us is from Hosea 14:6: “His young shoots will grow, his splendour will be like an olive tree.” About whom is it mentioned here? It is about the people of Israel, mentioned in such a beautiful way. If you read Psalm 135:4, it says, “For the Lord has chosen Israel for Himself as His special treasure.” Yes, the people of Israel were chosen by the Lord for Himself as His special treasure. And Isaiah 44:21 says, “Remember these, O Jacob and Israel, for you are My servant. I have formed you; you are My servant. O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me.” This is what the Lord says about Israel.
In the same way, if you accept Jesus as your personal Saviour, you become the child of God. Isaiah 48:17 says, “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.” If you read the Old Testament, you can see how the Israelites were chosen by the Lord, drawn by the Lord, and so close to the Lord. The Lord says, “I have formed you; you are My servant. O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me.” Even today, as Paul writes in Galatians 2:20, we can receive the same blessing.
Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” So many blessings God has prepared for you, my friend. Have you given your life to the Lord? Have you accepted Jesus as your Saviour? Are you washed by the blood of Jesus Christ? Even now, you can submit your life. You can bring everything into the hands of God, and He will give you the greatest blessing, which is to have a close communion with Him.
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, I thank You for choosing me as Your own. You have formed me in my mother’s womb, and I thank You for Your loving promise that You will never forget me. Lord, lead me in the way I should go, and help me to be crucified with Christ, so that it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. Wash me clean with Your precious blood and draw me closer to You. Give me the blessing of having a close communion with You. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray, Amen.
