Hello friend, I am so happy to greet you this morning. Today, we are meditating on Romans 5:1: “Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God.” Yes, my dear friend, what a beautiful verse. God wants you to have peace with Him, and He wants to give you His peace. When I remember this verse, I remember a small story. There was a little boy who loved to play with his ball inside the house. But his father said, “If you play inside the house with this ball, you might break something, so only play with the ball outside.” One day, when his dad was not home, he was playing with the ball inside the house, and it hit the wall and broke the glass vase they had inside the hall. When he saw the pieces on the floor, he was so afraid. “Oh no, my dad told me not to play with this ball inside the house so that I will not break anything. But now this vase has been broken. He is going to come and yell at me.” So he picked up all the pieces and started to glue them back together, hoping everything would be set right. But nothing worked.
Then he thought, “Okay, let me just tell my dad.” When his father came home from work, he saw that the vase was broken. The little boy said, “Dad, I am so sorry I broke this vase. Don’t be angry with me.” His father knelt down and said, “I am so glad you told me the truth, and you didn’t hide from me. More than this vase, you are important to me.” And he gave him a hug. Yes, my dear friend, in the same way, in our lives, we may do something that God explicitly tells us not to do. And we may think, “Oh no, God will never forgive me for this. I’m not worthy to go back to Him.” So we stay away from God, thinking He will be angry with us, and we begin to hide ourselves from Him.
But my dear friend, God wants us to come to Him and tell Him all that is in our hearts. Whatever wrong we did, He wants us to confess our sins. When we do that, and when we believe that He will forgive us, He will embrace us and take us back, and we will have a peaceful relationship with Him. Yes, my friend, we have peace knowing that God will always take us back. There is no need to hide anything from Him because He already knows everything. So believe in Him and do what He says, and you will have a peaceful relationship with God. Today, have faith in the Lord that He will always be a Father to you, and you will have peace with Him. Shall we thank Him for this wonderful promise that we are justified through faith and that we have peace with God?
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank You for loving me even when I fail. Forgive me for the times I have tried to hide from You in fear and shame. Help me to come boldly into Your presence with honesty and faith. Thank You for embracing me with mercy instead of rejection. Let Your peace fill my heart and remove every guilt within me. Teach me to walk closely with You and obey Your voice. Thank You for always being a loving Father to me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
