My dear friends, it is a joy to receive the Lord’s blessing today. God’s Word in Ecclesiastes 2:26 declares that to the one who pleases Him, He gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness. These are precious gifts that come from living a life that delights the Lord. When we please God, He fills us with His wisdom to make the right decisions and His knowledge to accomplish great things according to His will. Along with these, He pours into our hearts a deep joy and lasting happiness that the world cannot give. This is the wonderful blessing reserved for those who walk in a way that honors Him.

How can we please God? The Bible teaches us three important ways. First, we please Him through faith. Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to please God. We must believe that God exists, draw near to Him, and trust that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him. When we place our complete confidence in Him and believe that He hears and answers our prayers, our faith brings delight to His heart.

Second, we please God through love and by sharing what He has given us. Hebrews 13:16 reminds us not to neglect doing good and sharing with others, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. We are called not only to help people with our resources but also to use the spiritual gifts, talents, abilities, and blessings God has entrusted to us for the benefit of others. A life of sacrificial service brings joy to the Lord.

Finally, God speaks especially to children through Colossians 3:20: “Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.” Obedience is not always easy. There are times when we want to follow our own desires, but the Holy Spirit gives us the strength to submit to the authority God has placed over us. The speaker shares how the Holy Spirit helped him obey even when it was difficult, and God honored that obedience. The same Holy Spirit will help every child who desires to obey their parents and please the Lord.

Today, let us commit ourselves to living a life that pleases God through faith, love, generosity, and obedience. As we do, He will bless us with wisdom, knowledge, and lasting happiness, making our lives fruitful for His glory.

Dear Lord, thank You for promising wisdom, knowledge, and happiness to those who please You. Fill my heart with unwavering faith to trust You completely and never depart from Your ways. Help me to do good, generously share the gifts, talents, and blessings You have given me, and become a blessing to others. Strengthen every child to obey their parents with joy and honor You in every area of life. Remove every obstacle that stands in my way, reward my commitment to You, and make my life fruitful for Your glory. Let Your abundant blessings rest upon me and increase me in every good work.
