My precious children of God, today’s promise is taken from 1 Chronicles 4:10, “Let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” Jabez called on the God of Israel and prayed, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.” The Bible says, “So God granted him what he requested.”

Friends, this is a beautiful verse. Jabez called upon God and openly presented all his requests before Him. He asked, “Bless me, Father. Enlarge my territory. May Your hand be with me. Keep me from all evil.” These were his prayer requests. In the same way, you can also pour out your heart before the Lord. Whatever you want to say, you can talk to the Lord, walk with Him, and have close communion with Him. As Jabez prayed, God blessed him abundantly according to his prayer. Psalm 121:7 says, “The Lord shall preserve you from all evil.” My friends, this world is full of evil. Nobody on earth can always be trusted. People may say one thing to you and, behind your back, say something completely different. This is a wicked world. Therefore, learn to have a close walk with the Lord like Jabez.

The Lord Himself teaches us how to pray, how to look unto our Heavenly Father, and how to receive His blessings. My friends, do you have the practice of reading the Word of God and looking unto God in prayer? When you do this, you will also be blessed like Jabez. David sought the Lord diligently. In Psalm 61, we see how he sought the Lord, and Psalm 55:17 speaks of seeking God continually. In my own life also, I have sought the Lord diligently many times when I went through difficulties and calamities. Therefore, learn to have close communion with the Lord like Jabez. When you pour out your heart before Him and diligently seek Him, you will be blessed miraculously.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for Your wonderful presence today. Come with all Your majesty, Father, and bless everyone who is looking unto You right now. As You blessed Jabez, bless all those who are sincerely praying before You. Take away every problem from their lives and lay Your mighty hand upon each one of them. Release them from every difficulty, fear, and trouble. Let them experience Your peace and abundant blessings. Help them to read Your Word, seek You diligently, and walk closely with You every day. Keep them from all evil and guide them according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen.
