Dear friend, today we are going to meditate on Isaiah 26:12. It says, “Lord, You will grant us peace. All we have accomplished is really from You.” This verse is actually a beautiful song sung by the people of God, where they give all credit to Him, saying, “You are the Lord who has brought us peace”. In the previous verse, they said, “O Lord, they pay no attention to Your upraised hand. Show them Your eagerness to defend Your people. Then they will be ashamed. Let Your fire consume Your enemies”. This, they were singing about the unrepentant enemies who, even after seeing all the miracles performed by God, did not turn to Him. Yet God fought all the battles for His people and brought peace to them. Yes, every time we go through battles, we must believe that God is the One who is going to fight for us. Surrender everything to God, saying, “Defend my cause, O God”, and He will perform all things for us.

The Lord knows how to fight. That is how David also prayed in Psalm 57:2, “I cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things for me.” He is the one who defends you, dear friend. You need not fight your battles. Like David, thank God and say, Lord, You are going to perform all things for me. When Mary and Martha were crying over their brother Lazarus, Jesus came to them. He sat with them and cried, and then He went to the tomb and brought Lazarus back to life. The enemy wanted to bring darkness, sorrow, and destruction into their lives, even to crush Jesus. But Jesus intervened. Though He wept with them, He also brought resurrection and victory, and finally, peace filled their hearts.

Dear friend, you may also be going through sorrow like Mary and Martha. But Jesus will intervene. He will bring comfort and defend your cause. I, too, went through sorrow in my life and lost dear ones in my family. Yet the Lord filled me with His Spirit, and today He is using me to wipe away the tears of many. He has built my life and blessed me with a double portion. Likewise, the Lord will perform all things for you. All things will work for good in your life. Today you may be crying, but you will be comforted. Blessed are those who mourn. There may be fights, divisions, and misunderstandings in your family that have stolen your peace. But today, the Lord is bringing peace. I pronounce peace into every home. No more divisions, no more sorrow. The Lord will defend your cause, lift His hand against your enemies, and bring peace. And you will declare, the Lord has accomplished everything for me.

PRAYER: 
Dear Lord, You are the One who fights for me and brings peace into my life. I surrender every battle, every burden, and every sorrow into Your hands. Defend my cause, O God, and perform all things for me. When I am weak, be my strength; when I am troubled, be my peace. Remove every division, pain, and unrest from my life and my family. Fill me with Your comfort and assurance that You are in control. Let my life become a testimony that You have accomplished everything for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray,  Amen.
