Today’s promise says, “The Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do” (Ephesians 6:8). The Lord has called each one of us to serve Him, and this is a great grace. Though we may have worldly work and family responsibilities, the Lord calls us to serve Him alongside them. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Jesus gave His life to give life to people, rose again on the third day, and retained His wounds through which He desires to bring blessings to people. He is saying, “I need you.” We are called to tell people about Jesus’ love and bring hope to those in need.

Serving the Lord means telling people about Jesus’ love. We can tell those who are struggling that Jesus loves them and that they do not need to commit suicide. He will help them when they ask Him. Those who are tempted to run away from home or leave their husbands can be encouraged not to live in fear, but to come to Jesus, who says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened. I will give you rest.”

We can join together as partners and become children of the Lord by serving others and telling them about Him. There are many people who need our help—the troubled, the childless, and those who are abandoned in their old age. We can go to them, help them, tell them about Jesus’ love, and give them hope. We can show them that someone loves them and tell them that there is hope for them too. Jesus Calls is also here to love and lead people to Him.

When we give our time to serve others and bring blessings to them, the Lord will take care of all the matters of our lives. When we serve and help others in Jesus’ name, the Lord rewards our service. Romans 2:6 says that He will reward each person according to their deeds. According to Colossians 3:23–24, the Lord gives the reward of inheritance and makes a way for us to inherit everything as His children.

Secondly, the Lord enables us to receive the crown of life. James 1:12 teaches that blessed is the person who endures temptation and, after being approved, receives the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Serving the Lord is not an ordinary thing. We must overcome trials and hardships again and again while continuing to serve people. When we overcome these difficulties and faithfully serve the Lord, He gives us the crown of life.

Thirdly, wealth, glory, and life are given to us. When we serve the Lord and live holy lives in the fear of God, so that people see our lives and follow the Lord, we are serving Him. Proverbs 22:4 speaks of the reward of humility and the fear of the Lord—wealth, honor, and life.

Fourthly, when we give for the Lord’s service and for the glory of His name, support God’s servants in Jesus’ name, care for the poor in Jesus’ name, and spend our money and time helping others and guiding them to live lives pleasing to the Lord and become children of God, all these things are service to the Lord. According to Luke 6:38, when we give, it will be given to us. The Lord says that people will pour into our lap a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. He will do it, and blessings will come pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing.

The Lord is able to pour these blessings upon those who serve Him faithfully. He can bring prosperity, glory, honor, divine presence, and increase. He can strengthen us in trials so that we may reach heaven and receive the crown of life. He gives us grace to live holy lives and serve as witnesses, reflecting the holiness of Jesus through our lives. We must therefore serve the Lord with a willing heart. The Lord will reward our service, grant heavenly and glorious rewards, and bless all who faithfully serve Him.

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me to serve You. Give me a willing heart to serve people with compassion and share Your love. Help me encourage the troubled, the childless, the abandoned, and those without hope. Use me to bring hope to those facing difficult situations. Give me grace to pray for others and support Your ministry. Strengthen me to overcome every trial and live a holy life as a witness for You. Grant me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to make the right decisions in my life, studies, and work. Bless my service and let me receive Your promised reward. Use me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
