My dear friends, in Psalm 30:11, the psalmist says, “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.” Sackcloth is a rough garment that symbolizes distress, sorrow, and mourning. Instead of this garment of sorrow, the Lord gives us a new garment of joy. Our God specializes in transformation. He is the God who restores everything we have lost.

The Lord turned the captivity of Job and blessed him with twice as much as he had before. Job went through deep distress and suffering, losing his possessions, his children, and his health. Yet, at the end of his trials, the Lord restored him and blessed him abundantly. Therefore, when you suffer, remember that God can bring blessings even through your afflictions. Job declared in Job 1:21, “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Even in the midst of his suffering, he continued to honour the name of the Lord. That is why Jesus says in Luke 6:21, “Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.” My dear friends, you may be weeping today, but your sorrow will not last forever. The Lord will restore you, fill your mouth with laughter, and turn your mourning into celebration. He did this for Job, bringing about a complete reversal from grief to joy.

We see the same transformation in the lives of the Israelites when the Lord delivered them from captivity. Psalm 126:1 says, “When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.” When the Lord restored their fortunes, it seemed so wonderful that they could hardly believe it was happening. The people around them also testified that the Lord had done great things for them, and they rejoiced (Psalm 126:2–3).

My dear friends, I would like to share an incident that happened on October 6. As I was delivering a message at one of our fasting prayer meetings, I spoke about the Lord's power to restore everything concerning us. After the message, I prayed for the people. At the end of the meeting, a sister came to me, crying profusely. She said, “I have so many loans in my life. I do not know what to do.” Overwhelmed by her situation, she fell flat on the ground and cried. People tried to catch her, but I told them to leave her alone so that she could pour out her heart before the Lord. She continued crying and pouring out her heart in the presence of God. Then I laid my hands on her and prayed for her. On that day, I had delivered a message declaring that the Lord would perfect everything concerning us. I believed in my heart that the Lord would perfect everything concerning that sister as well. Of course, I asked my staff members to help her through SEESHA, but I knew that the Lord would help her and perfect everything concerning her.

My dear friends, the same God who restores the brokenhearted and delivers those in distress will also turn your sorrow into joy. The Lord will remove your sackcloth and clothe you with a new garment of gladness. Are you weeping over the loss of a loved one? Is your heart burdened because you have lost your possessions, wealth, or livelihood? Are you struggling with financial debts, unemployment, or the longing for a life partner or children? Do not lose heart. Bring every burden before the Lord, for He is able to comfort you, strengthen you, and restore your life. Trust Him to lead you forward and provide for your needs according to His perfect will. The Lord who filled Job's life with restoration can also bring a new beginning into your life.

Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, let Your mighty hand come upon Your children and comfort them, O God. Put an end to their wailing and weeping, and remove their sackcloth of sorrow. Fill their hearts with Your divine joy. Comfort those who are grieving over the loss of their loved ones, and strengthen everyone who is suffering. Father, restore what they have lost according to Your perfect will. Provide jobs for the unemployed, finances for those in debt, new opportunities for those seeking businesses, life partners for those waiting, and children for those longing for them. Let Your abundant blessings overflow in their lives. Remove every lack and fill their mouths with laughter and thanksgiving. Thank You, Lord, for the best blessings that are coming. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
