My dear friend, it’s a joy to greet you. Today the Lord feeds us with His promise from Hosea 8:1: “Put the trumpet to your lips. An eagle is over the house of the Lord.” This verse says that an eagle is hovering over God’s house where we are, signifying that there is an opposition coming towards us. Why? This verse continues to say because we have disobeyed the Lord, because we have not sought after Him, we have not followed Him, we have not served Him. What a heartbreaking thing it is for the Lord to point it out to us. Let us get right today with God, my friend.

But the Lord is still mindful of us. He says, “So put a trumpet to your lips.” A trumpet signifies a call to the Lord; a call in the midst of agony, a call in the midst of distress, and a call even to praise Him. Today let us call and ask God, “Forgive us Lord, come and bless us and lead us.” Surely, He will listen to our trumpet. He wants us to ask everything from Him, like a child tells the father everything and asks for help. He wants us to first call upon Him. To obey Him is to seek Him and ask Him first, which is praying to Him and that is the obedience that God loves above all things. This is listening and obeying God.

So today, put that trumpet to your lips. Anything you want, ask Him. Rely upon Him and He will provide but we should first call upon Him. That’s why we have our Trumpet Prayer Group. This is the six year of its inauguration. We have been praying daily between 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon in the Trumpet Prayer Group. We have raised all our needs to the Lord. So, you also can join and enrol in this Trumpet Prayer Group and seek the Lord. Put a trumpet to your lips every day, and the Lord will be pleased to fight away every eagle, take away every opposition, bless you, and lead you.

PRAYER: 
Loving Father, I come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your forgiveness for the times I had failed to seek You first. Please teach me to call upon You in every situation. Give me the faith to trust You completely. As I cry out to You, remove every opposition that stands against me. Fight my battles and lead me in Your ways. Help me to obey You through prayer daily. Let my life be guided by Your presence always. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
