My precious child of God, I greet you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today, we are going to meditate on Amos 3:7, “The Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.” Prophets! So many are blessed with this gift, and it is a great gift. But how do we receive this gift? We have to have a close communion with the Lord, spending our time with Jesus, talking to Him and walking with Him. I have seen this in my own home. I have seen my husband talking to the Lord and walking with Him all the time.

As husband and wife, we would not spend time chit-chatting or enjoying worldly things together. He would be spending all his time with Jesus, going to the office, coming back, and spending time with God and God alone. I used to tremble to go near him. Even when he had to speak at a marriage, he would spend much time in the presence of God, receiving His words. That is close communion with the Lord. In the Bible, we see many people who received this gift. Deborah, in Judges Chapter 4, had a family. If you are a woman, you may ask, “Is it possible for me, with many responsibilities and an important role in the family, to receive this gift?” When Deborah, Miriam, and many others received it, why not you and me? Close communion with the Lord is the most important thing.

Reading the Word of God, claiming His promises, and being faithful, this is what the Lord sees. Moses was very faithful, and the Lord used him as a prophet and gave him grace to bring the Israelites to the Promised Land. Yes, my dear child of God, we have to ask the Lord. Matthew 7:7–8 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you”. Even now, let us ask the Lord. Let us live a holy life, waste not even a single minute, and decide to have close communion with Him, talking to Him and walking with Him. Right now, the Lord is going to bless you, make you a prophet or prophetess, and use you for His glory.

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, I desire close communion with You. Teach me to walk with You and talk with You daily. Help me to love Your presence more than anything else. Make me faithful in following Your Word and obedient to Your voice. Help me to live a holy life and not waste my time on the fleeting things of this world. Lord, I believe that You will open doors for me according to Your will, and use me for Your glory. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray, Amen.
