Friends, today we are going to talk about obedience. Yes, obedience is sometimes very difficult for us. From the time we are little children until we become adults, we often struggle to obey our parents, obey the law, and follow instructions. But the Bible clearly teaches us how important it is to obey the Word of God. Whenever I think of obedience, I always remember the story of Isaac. Abraham asked Isaac to carry the firewood as they went up the mountain for a sacrifice. Isaac could have questioned his father or wondered why they were going without a sacrifice. He may have had many doubts in his heart. Yet, he chose to obey. The only thing he knew was, "I have to obey my father. I have to obey God." Without knowing everything that God had planned, Isaac faithfully followed his father to the mountaintop. Because of that unquestioning obedience, the Lord blessed both Abraham and Isaac. Their lives teach us that when we obey God's Word without allowing doubt or fear to take control, His blessings will surely follow.

That is exactly what the Bible says in Joshua 1:7: "Be careful to obey all the law... that you may be successful wherever you go." God does not ask us to obey only the commands that are easy. He calls us to obey all His commandments. As we walk in obedience, He promises to bless us and grant us success according to His perfect will. Today, if you are facing a difficult situation and the Lord is asking you to do something, obey Him, dear friends. It may not make sense at this moment. It may even go completely against your own plans. But when you choose to obey God's voice, He will surely bless you and lead you into His best.

When we were living in Karunya, the Vision Center in Bethesda was my favorite place. Somehow, I always made it a point to visit the Vision Center every day. The story behind the Vision Center is truly inspiring. A security guard who was guarding Bethesda saw a vision of Jesus at that very spot. Filled with fear and awe, he shared what he had seen with our family. Because of that vision, my grandfather made sure that a Vision Center was built there. Today, Bethesda has become a blessing to countless people. Personally, it has also been a tremendous blessing in my own life. What began with one man's faithful response to God's revelation has become a place where thousands experience God's presence and receive His touch. Obedience always produces blessings far beyond what we can imagine.

Today, the Lord gives you the same promise. As you obey His Word, He will bless you, guide you, and make you successful. Even when obedience seems difficult, trust Him completely. God's plans are always greater than our understanding, and His blessings always follow those who faithfully obey Him.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for teaching me the importance of obeying Your Word. Give me a humble and willing heart that delights in following Your commands without hesitation or doubt. Help me to trust You even when I do not understand Your plans or when Your leading seems difficult. Strengthen me to remain faithful when circumstances are against me, and fill me with patience to wait for Your perfect timing. Bless my life as I walk in obedience, and let Your favor rest upon my family. May every child, young person, and adult grow in reverence for You and become a shining testimony of Your faithfulness. Lead us into Your perfect will, grant us success according to Your purpose, and use our lives to glorify Your holy name. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
