My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, God wants us to meditate on the powerful truth found in 2 Corinthians 5:14: “The love of Christ compels us.” What a wonderful assurance! The whole Christian life is built upon experiencing and living in the love of Christ. 1 John 3:1 says, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God.” The heavenly Father has poured His love into our lives, and Lord Jesus demonstrated it fully by giving His life on the cross for us. Through His suffering and sacrifice, we see the depth of His love. That is why the Lord says in Hosea 11:4, “I drew them with cords of human kindness, with bands of love.” Truly, this love is what draws us to Him and keeps us in Him.
I remember in my own life how I came to know this divine love. When I was just sixteen years old, I deeply missed my father’s affection because he could not come to see me one month at my boarding school. I was crying bitterly, longing for his love. At that moment, the Lord came close to me in a miraculous way and filled me with His divine love. From that day onward, I experienced the love of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in my heart. That love strengthened me and changed me into a child of God. As Colossians 3:14 says, “Put on love, which is the bond of perfection,” I learned to clothe myself with His love. His love transformed me to forgive, to bear with others, and to walk in godly character as Colossians 3:13 teaches. Truly, when we receive His love, we are completely changed into His likeness.
My dear friend, have you experienced this divine love of God in your life? Romans 5:5 says the love of God is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. And Jude 21 says, “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” This love is not only for salvation, but also for daily living. It enables us to forgive others, to walk in compassion, and to serve with joy. It unlocks the mercy and power of God in our lives. If you have not yet experienced this love, open your heart today. And if you already know His love, allow the Holy Spirit to fill you to overflow, so that you may live compelled by the love of Christ and share it with the world around you.
Prayer:
Loving Father, thank You for Your unfailing love. Thank You for sending Jesus to die for me on the cross. Thank You for calling me Your child through Your love. Fill my heart with the Holy Spirit and Your divine love. Help me to forgive as Christ forgave me. Transform me into Your likeness by Your love. Let Your love strengthen me in every weakness. Make me a vessel of compassion and mercy for others. Keep me always in the love of God until eternal life. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
