Dear friend, it’s a great day today to find great success from God. Receiving His word is the way for our success, and today He speaks to us from James 4:7: “Submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” When we resist the devil, he can’t do anything more to us. When we say, “No, I will not listen to you. I don’t want to get involved in what you are saying,” after that, he can’t enter. He can’t cause destruction. He will run away.

But it is not so easy to resist him, because he attacks the weakest part of us and tempts us in that weakness. When we ask a little child not to eat ice cream, and we ourselves are licking the ice cream, will that child be able to resist? We know the child is weak for ice cream. She will cry, or he will cry and say, “No, I want that ice cream somehow.” Our human flesh cannot resist temptation so easily. In the same way, when Jesus had just finished fasting and praying without food, the devil said, “If you are the Lord, turn this stone into bread and eat it.” Look at the devil attacking the weakness of the human flesh. That is how he tries to attack our weaknesses.

You may ask, “How can I resist the devil?” But my friend, let me tell you, this verse says, “Submit yourselves then to God.” When you receive the Lord within you and submit yourself to Him, you gain God’s Spirit as power within you. Your heart becomes so full that it becomes an unfair fight for the devil. The power within you becomes so great that you will say, “I have no need for you, devil. Get away from me.” God is burning within my heart. I have everything. The devil loses the fight with no chance at all. Today, my friend, this is the grace God is going to give you.

PRAYER: 
Loving Lord, please give me the power to resist the devil. It is enough, Lord, that he has tempted me in my weakness. It is enough that he has defeated me and made me sin. He has made me choose foolish choices in my life. Forgive me, Lord, for yielding to the devil. I need Your grace. I need Your power within me. I need the fullness of Your Spirit. Fill me right now, and fill me every day. Let me be full of Jesus, and help me to resist every temptation of the devil. Let me no longer be weak. But in my weakness, let Your strength be perfected in me. Let Your Holy Spirit be made perfect within me. Thank You, Jesus. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray, Amen.
