My precious friend, “The righteous person will live by his or her faithfulness,” Habakkuk 2:4 says so. God has kept you as a righteous person. Do not be afraid when problems come. Many times you think, “Oh, maybe there is something wrong with me, that’s why this problem has come”. No, my friend. Only when problems come, the power of the righteousness of your life comes forth before all people and before you also. In the midst of troubles, tribulations, and pain, God will show that you are faithful to walk in righteousness. The Bible says in Romans 3:22 that righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. As you believe in Jesus as your righteousness, you will walk with dignity and strength and be more than a conqueror.
When you do not condemn yourself, but say, “I am walking in righteousness because I believe in the Lord”, you will inherit every blessing God has prepared for the faithful. God has kept you righteous, God has kept you faithful. Praise the Lord and thank Him for it. Genesis 15:6 says Abraham believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness. Abraham believed God had called him, and his conscience was clear before the Lord. Even though he had no child and was waiting for God’s promise of a great nation, he never doubted his righteousness before God. At the right time, God gave him a beautiful son, Isaac, and today a nation, Israel, stands as a testimony that a faithful man abounds with blessings.
So, as you faithfully walk in righteousness in the midst of all troubles, you will overflow with blessings. What is the fruit of righteousness? Isaiah 32:17 says it is peace. The fruit of righteousness is peace, and you will have peace all your life. Matthew 5:6 says, “If you hunger and thirst after righteousness, you will be filled, and Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these blessings shall be added to you. Finally, Matthew 5:10 says that even in persecution, as you fulfill God’s will without fear, the kingdom of heaven will be yours. Heaven will be open to you. May God give you these blessings and keep you righteous.
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for keeping me righteous through my faith in Jesus. When troubles come, please help me not to condemn myself. But remind me that my righteousness can shine brightest only in trials. Please fill my heart with more of Your perfect peace. Help me to hunger for Your righteousness daily. Strengthen me to walk faithfully without fear. I trust that You will add every blessing upon my life in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
