Dear Friend, today, I invite you to meditate on the beautiful verse from Psalm 56:3. David says, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” What a deep confession this is! In the previous verse! David explains his situation saying, “My enemies trample on me all day long, for many attack me proudly.” He was surrounded by fear and danger, yet in the middle of all those troubles, he chose to place his trust in God. Fear did not drive him away from God; instead, it brought him closer. In Psalm 56:4 he declares, “In God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” That is the power of faith in the midst of fear. Dear friend, when you go through painful trials or uncertainties, do not lean on your own understanding. Cast all your burdens at the feet of Jesus. He alone is able to care for you, protect you, and strengthen you. That’s why David said in Psalm 34:4, “I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.”
Dear friend, I’d love to share a beautiful testimony of how God delivered one of His children from fear and restored her family. Sister Jeba Selvi once lived in great fear about her future. She was married to Brother Meshach, and though their married life began happily, soon financial struggles darkened their home. They couldn’t even afford milk for their newborn son and had to feed him rice water. Even in those painful days, the couple used to listen to the songs of our daughter Stella Ramola and son Danny, especially the song based on Genesis 12:2, which speaks of God’s promise to bless. Their little child also sang that song with joy. Though people mocked Brother Meshach for spending his time volunteering at the Prayer Tower instead of chasing money, he continued to serve God faithfully. He believed that the Lord would make a way. Gradually, he started earning a small income from freelance work for just ₹150 or ₹200 a day. Yet they held onto faith and continued attending the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower meetings at Anna Nagar. One day, as a servant of God prayed, he declared prophetically, “God will open a way for your job.” Brother Meshach received that word with faith and soon, God opened a miraculous new job for him.
But their journey didn’t end there. After some years, misunderstandings entered their home. Sister Jeba left with her two children, and Brother Meshach applied for divorce. The judge said it would be granted within a month. Yet month after month, year after year, neither of them could find peace in separation. Seven long years passed. Deep in their hearts, they both longed for reconciliation. Each one prayed faithfully in their nearby Prayer Tower. Both of them trusted that only God could restore what was broken. And indeed, the Lord performed a miracle! At a family function, they met again and when they saw each other, the anger melted away. Smiles returned, conversations began, and the Lord beautifully united them once more. Their home, once filled with pain and fear, was now filled with laughter and joy. Today, they are financially strong and spiritually firm in the Lord. The same God who turned their mourning into joy will surely do it for you too, dear friend. Whatever fear grips your heart whether fear of the future, family problems, or financial burden, trust in God. He is faithful to deliver you and bless your home abundantly.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your promise that when I am afraid, I can trust in You. Lord, at times when I am filled with fear for my future, comfort me with Your peace. Heal my family, Lord; unite hearts that are separated. Restore love and understanding in my home through the power of Your Spirit. Provide for me when I struggle financially; open new doors of blessing. Wipe away my tears and replace my fear with faith. Fill my home with Your presence and joy. Let me see miracles beyond human understanding. Thank You, Lord, for the double portion of joy You are giving me. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
