My dear friend, today we are meditating on the promise verse in Psalm 75:10. It says, “The horns of the righteous will be lifted up.” What do these horns represent? They represent honour, strength, authority, and power. We see this verse fulfilled in the life of a man named Mordecai. He was righteous in all that he did, but Haman wanted all the recognition and honour for himself. Haman never allowed Mordecai to rise up, portraying himself as the best and deserving of all praise. In turn, the king promoted Haman to second in command.
But a time came when the king found out the truth through Esther. The same destruction that Haman had prepared for Mordecai came upon Haman himself. The king then honoured and lifted up Mordecai because he delighted in him. Mordecai’s bravery in protecting the king gave him that honour. As we read in Esther chapter 2, he was a righteous man who protected the king, prayed for his people, and refused to bow down to wicked men. In turn, God lifted up his horn and honoured him.
Yes, my dear friend, today you may feel that all the righteous things you do are not being recognised. You may be honest, brave, and even risk your life, yet wonder what will happen to you. But do not be afraid. The horns of the righteous will be lifted up. Today, God will honour you, lift you up, and place you in high places because He delights in you for doing the right thing.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, I thank You for Your encouraging promise that the horns of the righteous will be lifted up. Just as You honoured Mordecai, honour me in Your perfect time. Help me to remain faithful, honest, and brave even when I am not recognised by others. Please remove all fear from my heart, and let my life bring delight to You. I trust that You will lift me up and place me in the position You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
