It’s the new year, but how many of you are truly happy this new year? Many of you would have lost your loved one, and that would have been breaking your heart. Losing our loved one hurts, even if it has happened a few years ago. I’m sure many of you might be in that situation today, thinking about the loved one that you lost. Your heart is broken, but today the Lord promises from John 16:22, “I will see you again, and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” Yes, you’re going to have days of happiness.

No one can fill the place of your loved one in your life, but God will give you the peace to carry on this life without that person. Yes, that peace will bring you great joy, the joy that you are going to meet that person again when you go to heaven. So don’t worry, my dear friend, don’t be heartbroken. The Lord promises today that He will fill you with joy. The Bible says in Psalm 30:5, “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” Yes, your nights may be filled with tears, but it is going to stop today, because God is going to fill you with His peace and His joy.

People always say, “Oh, I’m having so many good days, maybe I’m going to get a very bad day soon.” But this joy that God is going to fill you with will continue throughout your life. Even if bad days come, the peace of God will surround you. No one will take away this joy. What a wonderful promise.
