My dear friend, it is a joy to greet you today, and it is a joy to celebrate my sister Sharon Angel’s birthday with you. She is the one who has kept our family balanced, taking care of each one of us in our needs with such love and concern. On this special day, continue to remember her in prayer. Today, as Psalm 60:12 states, “With God we will gain the victory, and He will trample down our enemies.” He is going before us as a victorious Lord, and more than us, He has the zeal to give us victory in what we are doing.
You might have a big challenge before you, a big project to do, a big case to solve, or you might be working through a very complicated situation where you need to make a decision. You may be scratching your head, thinking it is impossible. But my friend, with God, we will gain the victory. He will trample down the situation before us and give us the victory, because He is already ahead of us, fighting on our behalf.
There was once a young African-American boy during a time when African boys were taken as slaves in America. One night, as he sat in his room, vexed with his situation, he prayed and said, “God, even in the midst of this situation, even in this life of mine, can You make me somebody great? Can You lift me up? I don’t want to be a slave anymore.” That night, God gave him a marvellous dream, revealing all the secrets hidden in the little peanut. He loved to work with plants and could relate to the dream God showed him. Later, he presented his discoveries at a scientific conference, and the American men were amazed. They called him the Peanut King. God can elevate us in a tremendous measure. With the ‘little’, ‘less’, God can use to produce something great, and He will reveal such wisdom to you also.
PRAYER:
Loving Father, thank You for going before me as my victorious Lord. Every challenge and decision I have to undertake, I place them all in Your mighty hands. Wherever I see impossibility, let Your victory arise. Lord, as You have promised, trample every obstacle standing before me. Lift me beyond my limitations, Lord. Use the little I have for something great. I trust You completely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
