Abounding goodness is what God has for you. In Jeremiah 32:40, the Lord says, “I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will never stop doing good to you.” In 1985, when the Lord spoke to my father to start Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, millions who were blessed through his ministry rejoiced at this plan of God. But one or two people, who said they were preaching the gospel, began to speak and write against him. During that time, my father’s kidneys failed, and he was almost unto death. We suffered greatly and did not know what the future would be. Yet, on my father’s birthday, as he lay very weak, the Holy Spirit came upon him while we prayed together as a family, and Jesus appeared to him with comfort and hope.
Jesus said, “My children, millions love you. I love you. But your eyes are on those two or three wicked people who speak lies against you and speak the word of the devil. Because you have heard those words, it has allowed satan to destroy your kidneys. Today, turn to Me. Turn and enjoy My love for you. Enjoy the love of the millions of people. The more the wicked people curse you, the more I will bless you.” God raised him up, gave him a new kidney, and he lived for 28 more years. Today, Karunya University stands as a monument of God’s glory in the nation of India. My friend, do not be afraid. God will do good after good after good to you, even when the devil and wicked people bring evil after evil against you. He will turn sorrow into joy, curses into blessings, and every opposition into great fruitfulness. You will abound. This is God’s promise for you.
John 1:16 says that out of the fullness of Jesus in you, you will receive one blessing after another. And Psalm 23 23:6 declares, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.” This goodness of God destroys every curse, every sorrow, and every act of the wicked people and the devil. When God’s goodness comes, wisdom comes. James 1:17 says every good gift comes from above. Secondly, God’s goodness becomes your refuge. Nahum 1:7 says, “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.” Thirdly, Romans 8:28 says all things work together for good. Even evil that comes against you will be turned into good by God. And fourthly, Matthew 7:11 says God gives good gifts to His children, while Luke 11:13 says He gives the Holy Spirit, the greatest good gift of all. May goodness after goodness come to you. Turn your eyes on Jesus.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your everlasting covenant to never stop doing good to me. When opposition, sorrow, and discouragement rise against me, help me to keep my eyes fixed on You. Turn every curse spoken against me into a blessing by Your mighty power. Let every pain, loss, and struggle become a testimony of Your goodness in my life. Fill me with Your wisdom, peace and the joy of the Holy Spirit. Let Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life, and help me to trust Your plan and rejoice in Your unfailing love always. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen.
