My friend, God always speaks to us, and when He speaks, we receive a fountain of joy. This morning, the Lord speaks to us from Isaiah 41:15: “I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp with many teeth.” That’s how God wants to make us. Before this verse, in verses 11 and 12, we read that many enemies might try to come and swallow us and harm us. Yes, they might put traps against us. They might come and do harm to us. But the Lord immediately says, "Do not fear. Do not fear”. You know, He said in Zechariah, that whoever harms you harms the apple of His eye. My friend, they are not just your enemies; they become enemies with God. We have to pity them. You know what happens to the enemies of God.

But in the midst of this, God tells us: “I will make you into a threshing sledge, a mighty weapon, new and sharp with many teeth.” God makes us powerful in the midst of this enmity. When Isaac came to a place called Gerar and was digging and reopening the wells of his father Abraham, he finally dug, and the well sprang up. The enemies who claimed it was their place came and said, “No, get away, this is ours.” They never dug that well before, but when water came, they came to steal it. Isaac didn’t fight; he went on to open the next well. And again, the enemies came. Isaac kept on moving to the next well, to the next well.

And finally, they said, “Oh, wherever we go, we can’t stop this fellow. Wherever he goes, there is water gushing out from his wells.” And God prospered Isaac tremendously after that, so much so that King Abimelech himself came and said, “Who are you? Don’t cause us any harm. You are becoming so prosperous. You are too much for us.” That is what the Lord is going to make your enemies say. Even kings will talk about you, that you are becoming a mighty threshing sledge. God’s mysterious ways are coming, my friend, to prosper you, to make you powerful by blessing you. Shall we thank God for this?

PRAYER:
Loving Father, thank You for making me Your mighty weapon. I will continue doing Your will, not being discouraged by enmity, not being discouraged because of oppressors. You will make me a powerful threshing sledge. You will make me new. You will make me sharp, Lord. Empower me for this. Give me a new spirit. Take away the spirit of sorrow, the spirit of crying and fighting. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and use me by the Holy Spirit. And whatever I do, let it prosper. Let waters come out of my wells. Let me produce maximum, Lord, that even kings fear me, the corporation fears me, and the community fears me. Make me grow and prosper. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
