My precious friend, “God prolongs the life of the mighty by His power; they rise up when they despair of life”. Job 24:22 says so. Are you full of despair? Do you say, “I have lost everything”? Do you say, “I can never rise up”? The Bible says in I Corinthians 1:27, “God chooses the weak to confound the mighty; God chooses the foolish to confound the wise”. Yes, today do you say, “Everybody says I’m a foolish man, I’m a weak woman”? You are God’s chosen vessel. Everyone in this world who says, “I am mighty, I am full of wisdom, I don’t need God. I have all the power,” believes they can exercise their own strength to rise. There are many who have risen to the top by their own wisdom but alas, when calamity comes, everything falls.

When financial trouble hit a great business, the owner who built it from scratch, though mighty, became weak and could not bear it. Another man, when his name was tarnished through a raid, could not endure the shame, he left his family and ended his life. My friend, that is the world; that is the wisdom and power of this world. When we trust in it, it lasts only for a time. That is why we need God. Jesus became so weak to understand the weakness we go through and to raise us up to become mighty. He was sneered at and ridiculed on the cross, “You saved others, now save Yourself,” they said. They thought He was foolish, but He endured it all to understand when people call you foolish or weak.

He will give you His wisdom, full of peace, full of patience, and make you accomplish great things. With that wisdom, He will give you the grace to confound the mighty. You will rise up, and His name will rise through you. For this, the Bible says in Isaiah 9:6, “He came as Mighty God, the Prince of Peace. He will help you, have mercy on you, and give you wisdom and strength to rise up”. As today’s promise says, “He will prolong your life, make you mighty, and lift you up from despair”. You are becoming mighty and strong; you are becoming wise and full of honour. May God bless you with this blessing.

PRAYER: 
Loving Lord, I come to You just as I am in my weakness and despair. Please strengthen me Lord to rise again. Remind me that I am Your chosen vessel. Fill me with Your divine wisdom, peace, and patience. Lift me up from every discouragement and fear. Help me not to trust in worldly strength. Make me strong and mighty through Your power. Let my life bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
