My friend, God wants you to rejoice today. “My heart rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high.” (1 Samuel 2:1) He says, “It is enough you have lamented, it is enough you have been afraid.” In Joshua 6:1, Jericho was tightly shut, and the Israelites could not enter. The prophets too in 2 Kings 2 spoke fearful words to Elisha, saying he would be left an orphan. Negative voices, closed doors, and hopeless situations may surround us. But God told Joshua and his people to march around Jericho in faith, and on the seventh day to rejoice and shout the victory. As they obeyed, the walls of Jericho fell flat. Likewise, every wall that stops you from moving forward will fall when you rejoice in the Lord. The Scripture says in 1 Samuel 2:1, “My horn is exalted in the Lord.” This is God’s promise for you: your head will be lifted high as you choose to rejoice.

Why should you rejoice? Because God Himself is rejoicing over you. In Zephaniah 3:17 it says, “The Lord your God is in your midst… He will rejoice over you with singing.” And in Matthew 3:17 the Father declared, “This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.” If God delights in you, why should you live in fear or sadness? Rejoice and declare, “I am a child of God” (John 1:12). Rejoice that Jesus has said, “Ask anything in My name, and I will do it” (John 14:14). The Bible says in Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Even 1 Thessalonians 5:16 reminds us to rejoice continually. When you rejoice in the Lord, even in the midst of trials, you will see His victory manifest in your life.

As you rejoice, the enemies that rise against you will fall. The people who stood against Israel fought among themselves when the people of God sang, “God is good; His mercy endures forever.” (2 Chronicles 20:21–22). When your heart is upright with God, you will rejoice and be glad (Psalm 32:11). You will know without doubt that God is on your side. Then, as Luke 1:69 says, your horn will be lifted up, and you will walk in the strength of the Lord. What a joy to know that God calls you His own child, and He will never leave you. May He fill your heart with this joy, and may every wall of Jericho in your life crumble before His presence.

Prayer:
Loving Father, Thank You for calling me Your child. Take away every fear and sorrow from my heart. Fill me with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Let every wall of Jericho in my life fall down. Lift up my horn and honor me, O Lord. Fight against the enemies that rise against me. Provide for me and prosper me in Your will. Help me rejoice in You at all times. Make me a channel of joy to others. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
