My dear friends, God is the One who builds everything. As Hebrews 3:4 declares, every house is built by someone, but God is the Builder of everything. Today, the Lord says to you, “My son, My daughter, I will build a house for you.” We read this promise in 1 Chronicles 17:10. Therefore, do not be discouraged, for the house that God builds will stand forever.
What is the house that God is going to build? First of all, He is building you. The Bible says in Jude 1:20, “Build yourselves up in your most holy faith.” God is strengthening you in the most holy faith—the faith that is centered on Jesus Christ. Jesus is your Savior, your Heavenly Father, and your Redeemer. He has purchased you with His precious blood and made you His own.
This faith will never fail. Whatever struggles, hardships, fears, or uncertainties may arise, you can boldly declare, “Jesus shed His blood for me and redeemed me.” This is the most holy faith that strengthens and establishes your life. As you grow in this faith, you become stronger as a child of God. When this faith fills your heart, you begin to pray in the Holy Spirit. Your prayers are no longer ordinary. They become Spirit-led prayers that break the powers of Satan, overcome opposition, remove worries and burdens, and open the doors to God's blessings.
As you continue to seek the Lord, His love fills your heart. No matter what struggles, fears, hardships, destruction, harsh words, false accusations, or wrong judgments come against you, God's love will sustain you. His love gives you the strength to rise above every situation and the grace to love even those who hurt you. In the midst of sorrow, humiliation, and pain, the Holy Spirit fills you with a spirit of prayer. Like Jesus, you are able to pray, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” God's love transforms your heart and gives you victory. Then the Lord lifts you up and gives you honor. He establishes your words and grants you boldness. Be courageous, for God is building you through the power of the Holy Spirit. Your faith is the victory that overcomes the world. May God grant you that victorious faith today.
Secondly, God is building you as His temple. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said to Peter, “I will build My church.” The Lord strengthens His people so that the gates of hell will never prevail against them. Whatever opposition may come, you will stand courageously for Christ because He dwells within you. The Bible also teaches in 1 Corinthians 3:16 that you are God's temple, and in 1 Corinthians 3:9 that you are God's building. What an amazing privilege! God is shaping your life into His beautiful dwelling place so that His presence may shine through you.
Finally, the Lord is building you to strengthen others. As Romans 15:2 encourages us, each one should seek to build up his neighbor. Likewise, 1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us to encourage and build one another up. In Ephesians 4:29, we are instructed not to let any corrupt or harmful words come from our mouths, but only words that build others up according to their needs and bring grace to those who hear. God has filled your life with His grace so that you may encourage others, strengthen their faith, increase their holiness, and help them grow in righteousness. He has built you as His temple and as a blessing to everyone around you.
My dearly beloved, when God builds you up, your life becomes a source of blessing to others. He will establish you spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially, in your family, and in your work. He will keep you secure, lift you high, and make you a blessing wherever you go.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for being the Builder of my life. Build me up in the most holy faith and help me trust in the saving power of Jesus every day. Fill me with the Holy Spirit so that my prayers will be powerful and pleasing to You. Let Your love overcome every fear, sorrow, accusation, and hardship in my life. Make me Your holy temple and shape my character according to Your will. Help me to encourage others with words of grace, strengthen those around me, and become a blessing wherever I go. Build my family, my work, my ministry, my health, and every area of my life for Your glory. Keep me faithful until the end and let my life reflect Your goodness. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
