My friend, today we serve a God who gives us victory, and that victory comes when we receive His promises through His Word. In II Thessalonians 3:16, it says, “May the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way.” This peace is not the same as what the world offers. In this world, peace comes when a problem is solved, a result turns out well, or a momentary burden lifts. But how long does that last? The next challenge quickly steals it away. The peace of God, however, is different. As Philippians 4 reminds us, His peace guards your heart like a soldier, protecting you in every situation.
We see this peace in Jesus Himself. When He and His disciples were caught in a storm, the waves shook the boat violently, but Jesus was sleeping peacefully. When His frightened disciples woke Him, He asked, “Why are you afraid?” That same peace is what He places in us when we trust Him. Even when rejection comes at a job interview, when a frightening medical report shakes us, or when people threaten us, the peace of God holds us steady. It whispers, “Do not be afraid! The Lord will bring you out of this.” This is the everlasting peace that only He can give.
I remember a man who was trapped in alcoholism and had lost his job. Overcome by despair, he wanted to end his life. But one day, he walked into one of our meetings. As he heard my mother sharing the message, saying, “God will build your life back again,” a tremendous peace filled his heart. The thoughts of his heart completely changed, his addiction left him, and God restored his life and his job and truly turned his life around. That is the power of God’s peace. My friend, that same peace is available for you today. Open your heart, ask Him, and receive His peace that never fades.
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for being the One who calms every storm in my life. Thank You for guarding my heart with Your everlasting peace that the world cannot give or take away. Even when troubles arise, rejections come, or fear tries to overwhelm me, help me to rest in You as my source of strength. Let Your peace be my shield, my comfort, and my confidence every day. I surrender my heart into Your hands, Lord, and fill me with Your presence and lead me in victory through Your living Word. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
