My friend, today we have our Saviour with us. That is the hope for our joy. He will not let you down. In Isaiah 51:11, the Lord speaks to us: “Everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them.” The Lord spoke this about His dear people of Israel, who had returned after being enslaved for so long. They had been tortured and oppressed, but the Lord rescued them and brought them back to Zion with singing. Imagine the joy on their faces, the gladness in their hearts, and the thrill of returning to the home and land God had provided for them. It is the same for us today, my friend.
You might have been enslaved by people who oppressed you. You might have been subjected to positions and titles that kept you under the oppressors. People may have shamed you. A group of people may have tortured you constantly, and you may have had to bear it with no way out. You may have been oppressed even by landlords, neighbours, or leaders around you. But this is the time for the Lord to rescue you because you have endured it for His sake. You have remained patient while trusting in Him, and the Lord has seen your faithfulness. He is now bringing deliverance to you, my friend.
There was once a woman who was under severe demonic oppression. Our prayer festival manager called our father and said, “Come immediately. There is a demon-possessed lady here who is citing your name. She is saying, ‘Paul Dhinakaran is coming to burn me.’” My father was surprised because he had lost his voice and could hardly speak during the meeting itself. Yet he rushed to the tent behind the stage. When he saw her, the compassion of the Lord moved him deeply because she was a mother, and her two children were standing beside her, watching their mother suffer in agony. With almost no voice left, he prayed, “Lord, let this demon leave her. Have mercy and set her free.” Immediately, the demon left her; she fell to the ground, and at that very moment, his voice returned. That mother rejoiced in her deliverance, and her children were overjoyed to receive their mother back. The whole family rejoiced together. My friend, this is our time too. Shall we ask this deliverance from God?
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, You see every burden and every oppression in my life. I have waited on You through pain, shame, and helplessness. Today, let Your deliverance come into my life. Break every chain that has held me captive for so long. Fill my heart with everlasting joy and gladness once again. Restore my peace, my dignity, and my hope. Just as You rescued Your people and set the oppressed free, rescue me also, Lord. I believe You will never let me down. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray, Amen.
