My precious child of God, I’m so happy to greet you, and may the Lord bless you through His Word right now. Today, for our meditation, the Lord has given us this verse from Galatians 3:27: “For as many of you as were baptised into Christ have put on Christ.” Verse 28 says, “You are all one in Christ Jesus.” Romans chapter 6 explains what happens in baptism. Verse 6 says our old man was crucified with Him on the cross, that the body of sin might be done away with, and that we should no longer be slaves of sin. Verse 4 says we were buried with Him through baptism, and verse 11 clearly says, “Likewise, you also reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This is what happens when we take baptism.

Paul says in Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ.” He was a sinful man, doing all sorts of wrong things, but when he accepted Jesus as his Saviour, he could say, “I have been crucified with Christ; now Christ lives in me.” Yes, when we take baptism, when we enter into the water, all our sins and sinful habits are gone along with that. When we come out of the water, we become a new person, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. We are made new. Saul became Paul, a servant of God, when he was filled with the power of God. Even Jesus, when He took baptism and came out of the water, received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Yes, my friend, you, too, can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit after coming out of the water when you are baptised.

Baptism is very important according to the Bible. Jesus Himself obeyed it; then what about you and me? We are simple people, ordinary people. Let us not argue with unwanted things, but trust and obey God’s Word. As Jesus did, you also do. Obey God’s Word, and your life will be a blessed life. This is not a doctrine; the Lord said that whatever He did, we have to follow His way. Let us commit our lives to Jesus Christ right now. Let us obey His ways, receive the power of God, and shine for His glory.

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, I thank You for dying for me on the cross and rising again for me to live life in abundance. Lord, I choose to be dead to my sinful life and be alive to You, and live my life in You. Cleanse me, Lord, completely with Your precious blood. Help me to obey Your Word without argument or fear. As You obeyed the Father in heaven, help me also to follow Your way. Fill me with the power of Your Holy Spirit, and make my life new and pleasing to You. Let my life shine for Your glory alone. Amen.
