My dear friend, we have come to the end of the year. This is the time to remember all that God has done and continue to give thanks. Even at this moment, God wants to promise you His blessing according to Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Do not be weary because you have done so much good and have not received thanks. You have not received a blessing out of it, and you have not gone up because of it. Don’t worry, my friend. God sees, and God remembers.

There was a lady who was doing housekeeping in a hotel. She was cleaning rooms, but she did it so sincerely and perfectly that everything would be spotlessly clean. The corners of the bed sheets were perfectly aligned, the bathrooms were clean and sweet-smelling, and the floors were perfect, with no dust, no dirt. She enjoyed making the room beautiful for others. But instead of appreciation, people mocked her. Her coworkers laughed and said, “Why are you being so sincere? Why are you trying to be perfect? Who is going to see you?” Still, she continued doing her work faithfully year after year.

Many years passed, and one day the supervisor left the job. The superior began to ask, “Whom should we appoint as supervisor?” They heard about this lady who was doing her work perfectly, and they chose her, trained her, and appointed her as the supervisor over all the others. My dear friend, do not become weary in doing good because nobody is recognising you. The Lord is watching. He will reward you openly for what you do in secret. At the right time, if you do not give up, a great harvest will surely come. Your reward is coming, my friend. 

PRAYER: 
Loving Lord, I thank You for walking with me through this year. Whenever I feel weary or unrecognised, please remind me that You are watching my every move. Lord, help me to continue doing good without giving up. Please strengthen my heart even when appreciation does not come from people. Teach me to be faithful till the end, even if no one is watching. I trust You for the right reward at the right time. Let my days of harvest come according to Your promise. I receive Your blessing today by faith.  In Jesus’ precious name, I pray,  Amen.
